Default Make it stop

I am the poor guy whos XA got hit with a cinder block back in Dec.

I don't have the cash to buy a new bumper just yet, but i am not all the worried about it.

What i am worried about is the paint chip right below my grill. It has been getting bigger. It went from a pea size chip, to almost as big as a dime, and growing.

What would be the best way to stop it from chipping, until i have the money to get the the whole front of my car fixed?

also any suggestions for hiding the hole in my bumper?

Not sure how to make the chip stop getting bigger. As for covering up the hole. How about:

a. buy a bra for your car
b. cut around the hole to make it look intentional, and mount a tow-hook
c. smooth it out and place a sticker over it
d. just get it fixed

Good luck!

Your insurance won't cover it? I remember you posting about your bumper before. If you have collision, you should be able to make a claim to your insurance company. Unfortunately I've had to make a few claims over the years. Two were collision. One was a parked hit and run, it wasn't even worth a new rear bumper after paying my deductible.

yeah my insurance would cover it, but it is only going to cost $300 to fix. And my deductable is $250. So i opted out of going through them.

haha. I have put a lot of thought into some sort of sticker to cover it up. But i am not all that keen on a big ___ bandaide. While itis hilarious, i do want to drive around with a bit of honor, haha.

Maybe i will get my graphic artist friends to think something up.

Just put some vinyl over it for the time being.

That is a real bummer to be hit like that.

yeah i was really suprised that my bumper only had that size of a hole. I am glad that it hit that instead of going underneath my car, like it did to the car in front of me.

Any idea on where I could find a good vinyl stickers to put over it?

where would i find something like that?

nah... all kidding aside... you might want to try to do this...
1.) Sand the hole/surrounding with 300 grit move up to 750 grit
2.)Bondo it and let it cure/dry for a few days
3.)Power sand it with 400 up to 1500 grit, make sure everything is smooth and flat
4.)Take it to a reputable body shop have them color match and paint it...

if you do it that way it should cost less than $200 if your lucky

put duct tape over the hole, paint it absolutely red and then paint your initials over the spot to draw attention away from the red spraypaint.
