today i was driving and all of a sudden 4 indicator lights turned on and stayed on..
These are: VSC, ABS, BRAKE, and TRACTION..
I tried to shut down and restart the car, but they come back on... :x

I dont know what the heck is going on...

Has this happened to anyone else??

It happened again 2 months ago for about 1 minute then went away..I thought i was just seeing things.. Now it stays on and its annoying..

you might have a major problem and go into see what is wron. Thats what I would do and I think the manual says the same.

Im guessing but you might have loosened a sensor putting on wheels. The dealership will know... obviously. Im really not sure though but that might set off multiple lights.
Just tryin to toss some ideas around. Your best bet is to have pro look at it.

p.s Maybe echo owners might know.

tryin to help.

It most likely has to do with one of the sensors on the wheels. I would take it in and have Toyota take a look at it.

yes, i have had this problem on one of my other cars and it was the alternator. i would take it as soon as possible because the battery could die and you won't be able to get it started.

I'm thinking that the punks that broke into your car and took a screwdriver to your dash trying to get your factory radio probably shorted something.

it could be..but it started 2 weeks after...

I called Toyota and they said its nothing serious. He told me to check if my brake fluid is topped off. It is...so i will just wait until i take it in..

OK I found what the problem is from the Toyota Service department.

I decided to live with the problem until my first oil change. I had them look to see what the problem was causing my ABS, VSC, BRAKE, and TRAC OFF lights.

The pulled my rear wheels off and noticed the left side speed sensor is damaged. The wheel was rubbing against it. (18x8 wheels with 3mm spacers) I asked if it is hard to do. He mentioned its not under warranty since the wheels were not put on by them. I told him I was aware of that.
I went to the parts dept. A new sensor costs $25 (backordered). I ordered one.
I will replace it myself after I get my wheel spacers.

I went to ES MOTORSPORTS in Gardena to buy H&R 15mm wheel spacers. I had to order them also for 1 week delivery. Cost there is $108. Special tooling is required to replace the original lugs. He charges $50 installation. I told him lets go for it.

I just wanted to let everyone know what the problem is just in case anyone else has the same problem.

I will post pics of my damaged sensor and spacers when I have those installed.
Keep checking back..!

did you replace your intake? the MAF air flow sensor if you unplugged it and started the engine, ur engine will shut down because the MAF Mass Air Flow Sensor reads no air going into the engine and shuts off, that cause's those 4 lights to turn on, it happend to me as well and all you have to do is unplug the ground wire for a good 2 3 minute and plug it back in, and you should be okay. if that doesnt solve take back to dealers, good luck!
