looking to build my motor

I recently acquired a complete drop out from a 04 xb, now I want to build it but I'm having a hard time finding parts like pistons, rods, blockguard, crank, cams etc. Anyone on here built this motor yet?

Havent heard anyone built the bottom end on this motor yet, so what im thinking most likely is that you have to get everything custom done except the block guard because EL prototypes sell one. Pistons, rods, cams, cam gears have to be custom done, crank can be micro polished. Block can be bored & hone, maybe custom sleeved for reinforcement for boost applications. Its all about money, if you have money you can pretty much put anything on this motor.

Definitely need custom pistons, and connecting rods above all else, and sleeving the block. Then you have to come up w/ a solution for the fuel management and ECU.

you could regrind the cam...

And what source is that? I'd like to know of a good place to get custom internals done.........and possibly stroke the engine as well.

indy cylinder heads is a good place to do engine build up's

they mainly do mopar blocks though

i sure they can help alot

that's all you'd need to throw more boost at the engine? what about just getting new rods?

No problem, I have alot in store for the little box that could until it's gone next year. I'm gonna have fun till then. Then I'll put the stock motor back in and make it all stock and sell it. Then I'll buy a newer one
