Could've had the first one sold in Iowa, but nooooo, I had to get the RS1.0. Therefore I had to watch somebody else drive it around for 2+ months before it was mine!

Pure hell.

I made a list of every dealer in a 300 mile radius and started calling them systematically by proximity until I found exactly what I was looking for... then I drove out, took it for a test drive and took it home. The whole thing, decision to purchase took less then a day, lucky for me I only had to call about 15 dealerships. My local dealer was ticked off, but hey, that was their problem. They can do the warranty work.
Someone has exactly what you are looking for on the lot today, might as well start your Xb with a little travel adventure... at least by the time you get home from your road trip, you pretty much know what you purchased.
