It can be done. The steering is a separate entity from the air bag *** horn block. You can try this website. www.ex-port.jp They do export to US. Prices are not too far off. You may also request for Mr Seto to purchase any JDM parts as long as you spec your requirements. Good luck..

thank you engr...

I have been sitting on this idea for a while now. I wanted an aftermarket wheel but yet its obvious I want to keep the SRS . Working in a bodyshop I have had many experiences with insurance companies and their guidlines concerning airbags and the limitation of coverage if the wheel is tampered with. I was told my policy would be cancelled if evidence was uncovered pertaining to airbag removal......WTF

Reinstallation of the bag could be possible after an accident but questions will arise as to why the bags were not deployed.

Honestly its seems like a pain in the ___ to even be paranoid about the facts and what ifs, so for me I have 2 options:

1. Keep the stock wheel and paint it real pretty-

2. Find a wheel with a home to stash my bag-

Thanks again for the url-

Why not try this:

Check out a steering wheel from a Toyota MR-2 Spyder or Matrix
they both have the same "JDM" steering wheel that comes on the BB
