Steps for installing gauge pod

1. OOOH new gauge pod

2. Insert 2 screws into two holes in base of pod

3. Place into receiving hole on replacement top column piece with adjusting nut facing notch (see picture 22)

4. Push screws through, hand thread on nuts

5. Tighten screw to nut with screw driver and provided wrench

6. BE CAREFUL not to strip out the plastic wrench that is included. You may opt to use your own.

7. Rotate steering wheel to left 90˚ from center to remove left screw and right 90˚ from center to remove right screw

11. Locate and remove screw from bottom steering column cover, its best that you either tilt the wheel up or down depending on which way you have better access to where you’re working

12. Use flathead screw driver or narrow headed parts popper to wedge between the upper and lower halves of the cover near the front on the left and right side, take care not to mark up the plastic

13. Turn screw driver 90˚, again careful not to scratch the plastic

14. Pull and push apart cover carefully, do not bend, force etc either part to move, take time to prevent damage to other parts, when pulling the top out its best to pull towards yourself and then up

20. Align tabs on side of cover

21. Connect together, make sure everything lines up and goes together smooth

22. Tighten allen head

Nice how-to David!

I saw that at the last SE/LTL show a few weeks back. Was thinking of getting it also, but my SAFC-II and TRD shift light sit in the small cubby abnove the steering wheel.

this tech doesnt help much. as far as i know, all the wires dont connect to the steering colum. if anyone else installs gauges, please take pics and re-do this tech.
