I’m thinking about going with 18”s with a 1.25” drop (springs) what do ya’ll think? Will it be about stock height. I want to upgrade my springs for handling, while also getting rid of some of that gap between the tire and fender. All the same time keep about stock height so that I don’t smack the concrete or bottom out my car while I drive around this beautiful city known as d.c. with pot holes the size of a toilet bowl, lol. Just wanna know what ya’ll may know, or think bout this idea

Should be alright. However, as with all springs, and thin tires, you gotta be more careful.

By the way, that combination is a dealer installed option (dealer offers 18"s and TRD springs with approximately that level of drop). I doubt the dealer would install parts that can easily damage your car.

That's about the same setup I'm gonne have when I get my TC...18"s and 1.25" drop with the TRD springs and shocks. I think it's perfect for your sake since you have toilet bowl size pot holes in D.C. I'm basically getting that setup because I don't want to worry about scrapping my front bumper with bump, humps, pot holes, etc etc...and I decided to get 18"s so I don't have to worry about denting my wheels and having a bumpy ride. I think with 18"s and 1.25" you would have a good looking drop and still maintain a smooth ride.

It will be lower, if you didn't know the rim size doesn't affect the outer diameter (or at least in most cases it wont, otherwise you would have to recal the VSS), so you'll still be 1.25" lower, just with thinner tires.
