How do the Goldlines compare to Eibachs? I have had Eibachs on all my previous vehicles but I'm not so sure about the xB setup. When I test drove the xB, the dealer had 18's on it and it looked like a 2" drop all the way around would be perfect. But the Eibachs only drop it 1.6" in the front, and 2" in the rear. How much is the drop with Goldlines? Also, what type of warrantee do they have? I think Eibachs are lifetime...

I love my goldlines Bill in Vegas also got me mine great guy... 2" drop is perfect... and they ride 100X better than stock.. youll love it.. do this install yourself..no need for a spring compressor.. its only got enough force to pop the top about 3 inches from the srping.. I stood on the spring and poped the top nut with an impact.. it just flopepd apart.. use the tech forum here for pics of what order they go back together... and what direction they face.. the 3 lugs on the top are not the same.. its oblong in the spcing so they have to go back in only ONE way.. the how to on this site is perfect..

Yeah man thanks for hooking up the right coast Bill. I recieved my goldlines as well.I must first get mine powdercoated black before I install them. It may take a little while but I want to do this right. Can't have a black box with yellow springs. It just doesn't fit the theme. Bill thanks again for the great deal. Hey bill do you sell all black billet grilles as well?

MY east coast brothers, I must first thank you for your business and trusting a new kid on the block. I think you will all enjoy the new springs from the ride stand point and the appearance is great. Now to sweeten the pot, the handling gets better also.

I am putting together a full featured alarm for the DIYer. All the wire are labeled with corresponding wire in the scion, the harness are also labeled. Steering cloumn, kick panel. The harness have all been wrapped in black 3m electrical tape to help camouflage. I also have the installation hardware, 3m butt connectors or t-taps or I will tin the wire ends if soldering will be used. This alarm has a life tiime warranty and the company Accele Vision has been in business for quite some time. My last truck a highly modified 96 gmc had the same alarm that I am selling. I sold that truck and the alarm still worked great even the remote start. I also have the alarms with remote pager and remote start. Same deal all wires labeled. Pm me if interested.

Thanks again, if any question on any product don't hesitate to call me, I can walk through it. Bill Turner Dba Scion Specialties.

Better as in, softer than stock? :?:

i only drove the car about 4 miles
and there was not alot of bumps
but i did notice that it rides better
the stock spring felt like it had too much play and it would bounce the car too much
the gold line limits the "height" of the bounce more controlled?

yeah I can't wait to get my box grounded.I already have my rims on just need to get them yeller springs black then I'll have em on! check out my profile and you can see my black box with rims and a stock height

After a couple of weeks, how are you enjoying the Goldlines?

I think these might be the way to go, but would be interested in seeing where you end up heightwise.

have you been in a lowered car before?
it is firmer but not bouncy as the stock springs

better handling

I just lowered "The scionic man" today with the goldlines also. Another scionspecialistvegas customer! :D I will post some pic of that car later, he loved the way it handled and has no complaints!

yeah, had an MGB lowered almost 3.5" in the front and 2.5" in the rear with 1" ground clearance, Had a freind with a MAzda with 1/4" ground clearance, and currently have a 97 turbo Talon NOT lowered. IF had some kidney busters and some nice riding vehicles. Want a nice riding vehicle!

I like a firm yet supple ride. Firm and well damped in rebound and after the first 1/4 - 1/2" in compressionLook forward to seeing how much lower it winds up. The 1" was almost perfect. Hopefully they wind up not too much lower.

SO what? I don't care how LOW they look. I care about how they perform. If I just wanted to look low, I'd take the springs out and ride on the bumpstops.

I used to tuck lugs on a 74 mgb, with 185/60 R14s in the Front and 185 75 r14 in the back.
Total drop was about 3.5" up front and at least 2.5 or more in the back. I wasn't using Teins either.

Seriously, what do teins have to do with this thread?

Find a tein springs or comparison thread. Neither I nor anyone else asked for your opinion IN THIS THREAD. You are post whoring.

We should all just learn from his expertise. If he bought 'em, they must be the best. What do we know?

I just got my goldlines on this weekend and love them so far. It seems like you can feel the road more, not in a bad way. It's amazing how two inchess can make everything seem lower.

I was worried about the driveway cuz the curb drop is really sharp and everything scrapes. Coming back from dinner last nightt with the family and it totally scraped up the driveway. My wife says" Well, I guess we can get the driveway done now..." Something she's wanted to do for 2 years. I'm ready now!

Thanks Bill and Gabe. Taking the back road to Walnut Creek this morning. Should be a good test...

Yes, I listed that as a benefit of the Goldlines as well. It was just a little hard to reach the center rear of the roof, now its no sweat. That's one of the things I liked about the Echo, you could wash 1/2 of it without moving your feet...

is everyone cutting the bump stop on the front as stated in there web site 1.00 ?

so do you find it to ride rough ? it says it will ride smooter with it cut to the 1.00"
has anyone done this per there web site?

DJ_X_Trodinaire
04-02-2004, 08:24 PM
im not sure why it would be smoother with a shorter bump stop (411 bump stops are installed to stop the shock from bottoming out)
maybe if you jump a speed bump yeah! lol

All i can say is goldline is alot better than the stock

I think you are looking for a progressive spring all around like eibachs(well for my benz) they are more confort ride.

04-02-2004, 11:04 PM
I have gold lines installed but according to there web site it says cut the stopper 1" for a better ride. that is all im going by and after talking to bill he mentioned the gold line company says its a must fro people running larger then stock wheels and tires new info im told.

04-03-2004, 04:35 AM
when I installed "TheScionicMan's" goldlines I chopped the bump stops right away. And he is riding smooth. 8)
