Do you have any problems with potholes and such? I love the more aggressive look of 18" wheels, but I am worried I will pop them if I hit a pothole during everyday driving.

Any problems? By the way, I am talking about city driving, like 30-50mph.

Could anyone tell me what rims these are?

They are 18". I've been trying to find out what brand that is. Anyone?

I always hit potholes and have had no problem. The only time I chipped a rim was when there was this HUGE rock in the rock and it owned me. :(

Ah, that's good to hear. I am kind of afraid that those thin tires might pop or something. Anyone know what rim that is though (2 posts up)?

i wouldn't recommend 18s, I know plenty of people who blew out tires on 17s. Everyone i know who has 18s has blown out a tire at least once, and they drive over potholes at 5 miles an hour and do all kinds of dangerous maneuvers to avoid them on the highway. Then again I live in Jersey and our roads blow.

I ran 205/40/17's in Philly for 1.5 years with no blowouts at all. I likely got lucky though.. those roads are truly awful

10K on the optional Super 7 18" rims with the Pirelli's and no blowouts. Just a nail.

i've gone around 15k on my 18's....i just got back from going up and back to norcal.....drive 50 miles per day, hit a pothole pretty much everyday b/c of the 5 freeway, and have done all sorts of stupid crap in my car including e-brake turns and garbage like taht.

Not one bubble or anything yet.

What you're talkinga bout is the thickness of the tire. A 40 series tire is more susceptible to having that infamous bubble on the sidewall, but if you get a lifetime warranty repair or something....it doesn't matter (like from America's tire company....costs $15 a tire)
