Supercharger info from my dealer about boost...
...Ok, not confirmed by any means. Just telling what my dealer said...I took my car in to the dealer for first time since getting it, and one guy i told him how i was waiting on the supercharger, and he said one of them talked to a guy at vortech, and that its all very hush hush, but that the owners could easily turn up the boost and easily get 260-270hp safely....If that were to be true, that would be awesome...he said he also heard they are ready and awaiting ecu issues...but hard telling what is true. Just thought I'd give my story of what I was told by my dealer...
There seems to be some truth to this. Alot of posts from "sources" are pointing to ECU issues. Turning up the boost can be done by changing the pulleys, pretty simple. No doubt the tC's engine can handle 270hp, the things a tank.

my biggest question isnt boost numbers or hp numbers.........................is there gonna be finacing avaible. I think there should be since they keep delaying it so much.
I really don't think there is going to be finanacing available unless you're waiting to buy the car with it - just like any other accessory. You guys will buy it anyway - why would they care?
Eh... I want it, but since it's several K, will make the gas mileage worse, and it's power that I'll rarely use, I seriously doubt I'd get it for anything over maybe 1500. I'd rather get a good HID setup - I'd use that all the time.
I can't wait for the TRD supercharger to come out.... I'm certain the boost can be turned up with a different pully and some ECU tuning.... I'm also going to be running a modified liquid/air after cooler whenever I get mine.... I figure I'll modify a PC cooling system to run that coolant through the after cooler... 260+hp easily possible with the tC engine
Those numbers sound legitimate enough at least. Back in October I was told by scion people that it would produce around 6psi (which works out to about 220 bhp) and will run about 3k installed. Also, they told me the ECU issues were the biggest holdback at the time. So I would say we are seeing more of the real info... now the release date, who knows
Yeah... I think Scion is smart to make sure that things are worked out before they release it - a bad supercharger for the tC could really give the brand a bad name, but c'mon! How long have we been waiting for this? people promised this months ago and nobody knows anything!
