Default NEED SERIOUS HELP w/ BACK WINDOW

Almost two weeks ago my gardener shattered by window when he was weed wacking the grass. As he was wackin' the grass, the weed wacker caught a rock and flew all the way to my back window shattering it. The gardener was very compliant and agreed to pay for the broken window. He went to this place called King's Auto Glass in El Monte and was told that the replacement window should arrive within 5 business days. Here's the problem, it's been almost 2 weeks and i still haven't gotten my replacement. I was told that the window arrive on friday (April 22) but instead they gave me an excuse that the delivery guy that was supposed to bring the window to their store wasn't able to drop it off. They ended up telling me that the window would arrive the next day (saturday april 23) and they even gave me a "100% GUARANTEE" that it would be there. Well sure enough the window never arrived and they were basically giving me the friggin' run around. My gardener seems very compliant and i don't think he's trying to screw with me. However, the problem imo is King's Auto Glass. Now i know if i were to go to a different auto glass replacement place, they would be able to drive to my house and fix it but my gardener, unfortunately, went to this place in El Monte. I need major help, any suggestions guys?

Your first mistake was to allow the gardiner to arrange for the repairs. You should've gotten 3 estimates from glass places that YOU researched and presented the gardiner with the lowest estimate... but that's a suggestion to tuck away for a future time.

since Sofa King Auto Glass hasn't delivered the window yet, the gardiner should be able cancel the order and get a refund for any deposit or payment he made. The bottom line is that the gardiner made the deal with Sofa King Auto Glass, not you. He needs to deal with them. You need to get your window replaced.

The Second mistake is that you went to a place other than and Toyota Scion dealer. You are goingot get screwed if the glass doesn't fit perfectly. You need to go to Scion get it fixed and give the bill to you gardiner for him to pay you the cost of the glass. I would never go to a tird party for something that is specially made by and for scion. aftermarket parts and accessories, yes, but OEM parts should always be handled by toyota/scion. Good luck, but you'r potentially getting screwed.

I'd have to agree with the other two. It's harsh, and I figure
you don't want any harsh feelings with your gardner (being
a male nurse and all ) But yeah, tell him the time
your car has been down and out is unacceptable and tell
him you need to take it to the dealership to be repaired at
his expense.

Default I like bargains

since he is ur gardener, this is what I would do. I have 0 deductible on my insurance. I'd have it fixed thru insurance where they inflate the price and have him work it off in lawn care.

Here's the details:

Part #68105-52411
Scion List: $406.13

EVERY Toyota parts warehouse in the Country has stock on this part so MAX time it should take any dealership to get it is 2 days.

Listen to the Silly Rabbit too. An aftermarket glass for the rear of your box will be crappy at best, unusable at worst.
