Sorry, but you mean smog testing, emissions basically, and no there is not a current cat back out for the tc.

I'm convinced that for some reason, the scion tC and the scionlife forums are beacons for stupidity.

I see, so what if lionesslove doesn't use English as their primary language? Did it ever occur to you that MAYBE this person might be visiting the forums in another country? Anyways, I'm not going to waste my time listing all the many reasons that lionesslove said "smoke" when we all knew damn well that he/she meant smog.

You're right, the scionlife forums can be a beacon for stupidity. You just proved that pretty well. .......

^^^ Exactly.

And lionesslove, to answer your question (since this is your first post) CreativeCompacts currently makes a full exhaust system that when including the high-flow cat will pass smog (emissions) testing. If you were to replace the header with an aftermarket one that doesn't include the precat then you'd fail.

I'd just like to say welcome to Scionlife. If you don't live in Cali and your state doesn't require emissions tests except for every 3 or 4 years, then get whatever you want. To heck with emissions, just keep your stock parts and change it back when you need testing.

take it easy on the guy, his email can be traced back to some sort of asian website, so english is probably not his first language.

You did but not correctly, there are a few cat-backs out for the tC.

CreativeCompacts
Draxas
PrecisionMuffler
and a couple more just can't think of them.

Not true about smog legal, it does not have a california OBD2 Smog legal catalytic converter. So the creative Compacts system is not smog legal for cali. Sorry for the news.

Well maybe not in Cali but it does here. Sorry Cali. What does the OBD2 have to do with it anyway? Both O2 sensors are before the 2nd cat, so how would this affect the OBD2 readings on the car?

Well if your in CALI you wouldn't have to worry about smog for 6 yrs if you bought a new car on 2005. I just read it on a article with the DMV. Since they say newer cars will be able to pass smog with ease. Well here's a link with the new law they past about it http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/StdPage....ck/doineed.htm
