Well I get my hood today, Place it on the lawn to uppack it, box is perfect no holes are any signs of damage, I open up the box to find this, A cracked CF hood, The hood was shipped from ABS DYNAMICS, (Racing Solutions)

The box looks perfect, there is no holes in the boxs what so ever. There is small dings * Note this photo was taken after the box was open, I didnt see any foot prints before hand, Be that as it may the foot prints are on the other side not the side with the cracks..

The Hood looks very cheap IMO, the inner workings of the hood have chips and scratches down to the fiber glass. I honestly am very unhappy with this hood. Im still waiting for a reply on what will be done, For now the hood is sitting in my garage. SIGH

I shot over a Email to them today, I really hope I don't have to pay to reship A product I received damaged :no: I will see what happens and Will be sure to post about the process. Im just very ____ed off right now, as most of us would be. Shipped out the 13th, Got it the 25th( Witch is DHL's fault not Racing Solution) And then I get it open it up BAM cracks.. SIGH :?

could be DHL's fault too. the box looks somewhat smooshed... it should have been insured when shipped... (ie. Make DHL pay for it.)

If you are looking at the box in the picture thats after the hood was taken out, So it may look "smooshed" when I received the box it looked perfect, Even at that one of the cracks looks to be under the clear coat, Also the box would have to be really messed up if infact all the crack's were from shipping because the inside shell has about 5 cracks/scratches aswell.

Hey Paul.. just got word of the thread.. Keep the original packaging.. and we'll pick up that hood and ship you another hood at no charge to you.

That xB hood was from a different manufacturer... We no longer carry their products due to numerous problems with the quality of their hoods..

Brian emailed me today with a new tracking number, The new hood was shipped out the 29th, From what I understand ABS wants the old hood to be inspected by DHL, Im going to have the DHL guy wait till I open the new one just to be safe.

I agree! When I ordered my Strup Exhaust they beat up the box horribly and never scan anything.

I showed my buddy from clubcivic.com he said he ordered a cf hood from JDM____ and it was from the same HCRacing. Said his was cracked in the same spots as mine almost... weird....

Anyhow the hood was in Orlando( Next big city over from me ) Yesterday at 8:00 pm Beiing its DHL shipping, I probably will not get it till Tuesday if im lucky lol, The last time they had it shipped it didnt even come in a DHL truck, Came in some small van a lady was driving. Ghetttttooooo..Im just happy that the hood is somewhat on time, not like last time.

This is just crazy, I get my hood today by supprise I open it up no cracks! Sweet huh? No not sweet I put the damn thing on and it doesnt fit I have two big gaps on each side the latch doesnt catch all the way so the hood will not close. My nozzles for my wiper fluid do not fit, either does my prop for my hood, Oh and by the way the bolts for the hood are smaller then the OEM ones so you will need washers for it to fit right or even somewhat right?. IMO I dont see how people praise racing solution yes Brian is nice yes they have good customer service but this part just dont cut it. Im very f'in ____ed right now, im sending them both back i do not what them.. I here the Fiber FX hoods are better does anyone have a Fiber FX that can clarify the quality on it... here are the pics..

Yeah man..on my Carbon Hood..I took a File to the Hood Prop

I'd take that back tho..I had gaps..but like VERY VERY unnoticable..

I managed to get it to close by using washers under the bracket, Yeh im going to file down the part for the prop and for the nozzle's i tried forcing them on and they broke. Brian agreed I shouldnt have to do this! Im just keeping the damn hood because I need it and to send it back to go threw more trouble and maybe get a hood thats even worse dont seem worth it to me. Hey Maybe ABS will feel bad and send me a matching CF Engine cover for my troubles =) I doubt it though haha...

damn that sucks...sorry about your luck paul...
