Default 100 watt high beam too much?

would a 100 watt high beam melt my harness? I know the stock is like 60 something. I just don't want it to melt the harness. Anyone using a 100 watt high beam? The bulb is a GP thunder 7500K. The guy sent me a 100 watt on accident and don't want to send it back if i don't have too. Thx

make a new harness. it will slowly degrade your stock harness until it fails eventually.

i'd stay with the stock ratings, anything higher and your risking melting something. i'd just send them back and avoid paying more in the end.

You can use it cuz its not like all you do is drive with them on. I have them in my highs and lows. did the the converion son the 9005 t o make them fit the 9006 plug. but I changed back cuz 1 blew out and my hids should be here tomorrow anyway. And I havent had a problem yet. I also had them in my grand am for a few years till I had any trouble.

You can buy a new plug and wire it in place of the old one. Its meant for high wattage bulbs like that. Hope this helps
