Generally if you're going to put a Euro plate on a car (for looks) ... you'd uh ... put it on a euro car. Which the tC is not...

Did you have other plans for it? Try eBay.

Actually the tC is a european car, it is bult and designed on the chassis of the Toyota Avensis available in europe, so in MY opinion a euro plate is better than a Japan plate for the tC

tC is based on the European Avensis, built in Japan, and only sold in the US-so its a bastard child

But basically, it's for the U.S. market only, which kinda defeats the purpose of putting foreign plates on one. The SRT-4 is built on a mercedes chasis, but I have yet to see anyone sport the german tags yet.

A (non european) car can never pull off a european plate like a european car. It's like water and oil....

Available in Europe != Made in Europe.

If you check the sticker when you buy the car... it is 100% Japan. A Euro plate on that would be possibly the most retarded accent ever.

I've wondered about this. I often see Audi's and VW's rolling around Chicago with Euro plates on them and wonder if it's legal or not. Anyone have any idea about this?

DibujoB: that would make sense, they're actually German cars.

Also: My Audi friend here at work says it's perfectly fine to have the Euro plate on the front if your state doesn't require a front plate. Or, if they do require that front plate, as long as it's mounted in the proper location, you should be able to also add a euro one (though it would look quite ___).
