Let me see if I get this right.
The XB set up to seat only 2 has a bit more cargo room than a mini van that is set up to seat 4 or 5.
I am not sure how that translates into bigger. Maybe if you compare the mini van in a 2 seat configuration to the xB in a 2 seat configuration... na, then the whole arguement is nonsense, isn't it?

I know what you mean. For anyone who hasn't lugged the backseat out of a minivan, you may not understand. Assuming I'm going to Costco by myself anyway, it's much easier to make the needed space in the Box than in the Big Green JellyBean. Tell me what other subcompact can handle a load like this:

i also tested out the depth of the car and found out that you can fit wood up to 8 feet long, without even having to put the wood onthe dash...and the hatch closes...
The xB has a deceptive amount of space in such a small vehicle. With all of the seats in their normal position, the xB has more cargo space (area behind the rear seat) than a Kia Sedona.
The xB also appears to be more flexible when folding seats. We have taken quite a few trips to IKEA and loaded up the xB with an insane amount of furniture. And by folding down the front passenger seat, we were able to get long items in without having to keep the rear hatch open.
My friends with a Kia Sedona had to pre-plan their trip by removing seats BEFORE making the trip.

I put an 8' ladder inside a few weeks ago. I also purchased som 8' lights for the garage and the box fit perfectly with the seats down and hatch closed. Nothin beats the xB's interior space. (maybe an Aztec--My uncle has one and we got a washer and dryer in there with no problem)

this is how my sienna looks inside. 3rd row seat folds to floor level, mid row seat folds and tumble at the back of fronts seats. I have not measure it yet, but guessing the space would be equal to xB with the front seat also used as cargo space.
My van's not that old, its a 2003, but that new Stow and Go seating is pretty trick, makes me think about trading in, but I love that Magnum wagon a lot too, so it'd be hard not to trade over to that instead...
