hey people with goldlines,

i am getting mine installed within a week or so and i have a question.

when driving over speed bumps, and curbs that elevate a little, does the scion bottom out, or is it high enough to where it will clear the curbs or speed bumps?

i'm running 215/45/17 with goldlines...no problem at all with clearance...even over speedbumps... just slow down abit...but u don't need to crawl over. i haven't scratched any part of my bottom just yet...knock on wood.

but with any lowered vehicle...just be cautious. u'll love GoldLines...so much better than stock springs.

the wheels are 17 inch with +40 offset. i think they're 7 inch wide rims.

Im runnin goldline 2"s on 18 215 35s and the only reason I slow down is to not taco my rims.. no clearance problems at all I havent even come close to scraping yet.. I dont pull close enough to parking stubs to realy know. (My other car IS300 hits them so I got in the habbit of parking back)

one more question

any way you can measuer the clearance between the fender edge and the tires?

I might buy a set of wheels that are et 38 and 2mm difference could be a life and death difference

No.......no bottoming out. But there is thise one expansion joint on the 95 freeway in my town that if I hit going 75 mph or more, my entire car will leave the ground, and my ___ will leave the seat. Definitely something that would throw you off if you didn't know it was coming.

what does bottming out mean ?

depends ... if u're talking about hitting the ground with the bottom of ur car...that's one meaning..

but suspension related... bottoming out refers to the shock running out of space inside....and the rod ends up hitting the bottom of the shaft.

i strongly recommend cutting the bumpstop by half or so (if going 2" lower)...so that u don't bottom out with the shocks.
