Default Painted steering wheel

Anyone know a good paint or way to get the tC steering wheel to look like this. The price for the steering wheel is a little much.

You'd be a fool to paint it.

not only will it look ghetto, it'll feel like crap on your hands

Get a leather wheel wrap. They only cost around 30-40 bucks each.

I second that! Maybe autozone or pep-boys has some sort of wrap you can try. Don't paint it though!

paint will peel.
That'd be cool wouldn't it?

Plus, you would have to degrease that wheel for a week before you got a surface that would hold the paint longer.

GO FOR IT! Post Pics!

I work with leathers. I paint and dye them... among other things.

It will come off.

It WILL come off.... most likely... on your hands.

Sample of some of my leather work.
Bad images off the web, but samples none the less

So trust me... it WILL come off

just get a nice leather wheel wrap, they are cheap and easy to put on, and mostly look pretty nice.

I was not alone, I was a part of a crew that designed, constructed, built, maintained and polished ... not only the ones pictured, but all the wardrobe/costumes in the film.

Yeah its definitely a rip off, but I used the $50 gift card and got it at mcgeorgeparts.com for around $170. With installation it came out to just under $200. Regular price is $300 i think. So shop around. But I gotta tell ya, it does make the interior MUCH nicer! I dont regret buying it at all. It will make you like the inside of your car more each time you drive it.

I am sick of these people using "paint" as a mod for their car. The only place, and I mean ONLY PLACE to paint the car if you really feel the need to get artistic, is on the CALIPERS. No where else! I saw a guy in here paint on the rims. He killed the rims. Now I see you want to paint the steering wheel? Are you out of your go* da*n mind??? You do know that the human body produces sweat and that sweat will rub the paint off the wheel and onto your hands??? I mean WTF is going on with mods these days? Save up and get the real steering wheel if you want it so bad. Next we are going to have people painting the upholstry and the seats. :o
