Default My car has been hit by a "butt" hole (to put it ni

I work on at a local university and someone soon to be college grad, future leader of the free world, opened their car door right into my drivers door. White paint on Green NOT GOOD!!! Well the door panel can be buffed out, I think no scratches are present. Well the door handle is a different story. in a small place about 1 inch long on the peice around the door handle it is scratched all the way down to the white plastic underneath. I have filed a claim with insurance just in case i need their help fixing it. Well does anyone happen to know how much that peice will run? I tried to call my local service deptarment but they are closed.
And what is the best way to get the marks off the side of the door?
I am so ____ed, I have driven this car for a year and I have yet to hurt it. So what gives some other ***** the right to. ERGGHHHH

Thanks for any info.

You could try and use a clay bar to remove the mark not sure how well it will work though. but I have a feeling that you may have to use some rubbing compound and buff it out.... hand rub it so you don't rub thru the paint with an electric buffer.

Bummer dude. Did it dent the door panel? I'm still in the "park it way out in the boonies and walk" phase with my box. The doors on my 02 Si look like a golf ball!!!

Didnt dent door panel, there is a scuff and scratch on the door panel and they Bevel (sp?) around the door handle is scratched down to the plastic in a about 1 inch spot and there are scratches on the door handle itself. I have to get the incident report tomorrow then take for estimate to have fixed to see if worth filing claim with insurance to fix under my uninsured motorist part because I dont know what ***** did it.

ABW in Florence, SC is going to fix it, i think. Now I am trying to decide if I can afford to have a sunroof put in at the same time that they are going to fix it, cause they do sunroof's as well and I really really want one.
