I'm curious to see what you'll run. I know Edmunds (www.edmunds.com) said they ran like a 16.8, but it was with a tail wind.

I was at the track last night with my 98 Civic (with intake, header, exhaust) and I only ran a 16.9. Hell, an xB should be that fast!

So, has anyone ran the 1320 yet?

i think i'm taking my car to carlsbad this weekend just to see what i can put down. my only mod right now is my muffler and grounding mod, and i'll run my stock wheels so you guys can see about what a stock xB would run.

i went to california dragway a couple weekends ago, but i didn't run my car. if i get anything less than 19 seconds i think i will be happy. :)

I never said they were. However, I'm sure people said that when people started racing Civics and "type R" in the 1320.

I have an EX model, but it's pretty heavy. I'd never raced my Civic before, either. Oh well. I'm trying to sell it anyway (it's the only way I'll be able to get a new car).

I figured your problem, not enough stickers, you know they give you 2 hp/sticker!!!

Seriously though, your EX with I/H/E should be able to do better then a 16.9. What was your reaction time? 60ft? Were you running those TSW Wheels that I saw in your for sale post?

Anyway just wondering. As for the xB...it's for pimpin out, not racing out but then again it would be great to give it some more power....turbo, turbo, turbo!!!

sam, a few friends and i are going to be there this saturday,
probably in the early aftersoon until the evening.
the cost is $15 to watch and $10 more to race.
you need to wear a helmet. bring your XRS or your corolla!!

i want to go, but why is there a need for a helmet? i thought that was for only below 10 seconds passes.

at Sears Point in Sonoma, you need a helmet for 13.99 and better, and a rollcage+ firesuit for 11.99 and better. I would assume thats NHRA rules at any track.

the rules at carlsbad are the everyone needs a helmet, regardless of times. if you run a schoolbus with a 45 second 1/4 time, you need a helmet. trust me, i've done it.

ok, i haven't actually done that, you do need a helmet at carlsbad no matter what. something about people dying in the past or something. whatever. oh, and i don't know if i will make it this saturday because i'm halfway through my airbag install and i just want to get it done by this weekend. i'll post more info on that in the suspension forum.

Well, to me, that wouldn't be worth it to go to that track because you can't just wear a bicycle helmet you need NHRA approved helmets, which go for $300. Unless of course you were racing a fast car, but considering we're talking about Scions, none so far that fast. Also, going to the track void's the warranty, it's "abuse" or something. So that's another thing to keep in mind.

With the same engine as your Scion's but with only 2000 lb weight, using a G-tech
I run a 16.5 second quarter mile. So with the extra weight I would guess 16.7-9.

you do the math--

@ Irwindale 1/8th mile

10.8 sec @ 65 mph w/ 9.50 reaction

Bone stock-

I havent ran a quarter yet. I just added my exhaust and intake today so now I am curious to see the change!

Funny you mention touge, I just killed my friend in his jetta on Angeles Crest by almost 2 minutes. I was about to go back up to see if he had fallen off the mountain.

@ all the tracks I've been to,your helmet only had to be DOT approved. Almost any full faced motorcycle helmet will do.
