when is trd planning on releasing their super charger?

well i did search and it says february then april so i really dont know i was wondering if there is a set date for this thing?

The last rumor is that it has been delayed til the Fall or end of the year. Supposedly the supercharger is ready, but they are still perfecting the ECU flash and/or piggyback chip.

The Scion dealers don't even know. I looked at the "memo" that was sent out to all the dealers...it had the most common questions people ask about the time the supercharger will come out, how much it will put out, how much it will cost, etc. The answers weren't really answers. They completely dodged every question. I laughed when I read it and gave it back to the dealer.

I think we'll know when it's actually for sale. No clues.

don't expect much from the TRD supercharger....I'm guessing you'll be lucky for 200hp to the wheels....but good thing is, warranty!!

for most people here, that's "a lot". If you get 200whp, and right now we only have 140ish whp, that's a 60whp gain...I'm not trying to bash, I'm sure there are some people out there who wnat bigger gains, but I would be happy with 200whp on the tC

The tc Sc will most likely do 200 hp to the wheels, and overall like 230 overall

its done, being held back to get EPA carb cert. yay, best guess is october 05.

Dam october, thats not even worth it to put in on when winter is starting, my dealer said they could be ready in june? i hope so but not likely

my dealership said sept. but no one really knows. the lady said she called TRD and they told her they are no longer working on it and scion is doing it. again, how much of that is true i don't really know

this is total BS why cant the company get ne thing right with parts, its a mess, it makes me think if I went with the right company here, maybe shoulda bought an srt-4? not really but the thing is fast

Yeah, seriously, I am getting my tC next week and I keep on asking the dealer about the supercharger package. They tell me they're shooting for fall, but they really don't know. It's on the TRD site too, although the price isn't listed. The dealer says it'll be around 3k (installed) when it comes out. I've read that it will be $4.5k (on the forums), what I want to know is, does anyone know how much the parts will be if you order it direct from TRD and install it yourself?

Hey well i talked to my scion rep today, he said that he was just in chicago, and nothing is going on with the SC, he said they are shooting for spring, but get this bull *, its only going to be a factory option, well ive had it, im buying header , full exhaust, intake, and some f'n rims

I will respond because I have new info... Someone I know from scion just took a trip to Japan on business to learn more about the scion line, new cars coming out, accessories, etc. They say that BOTH the supercharger and the AEM CAI will not be out until Fall of this year. They were told that until the extra tools needed for diagnostics and repair were sent to ALL of the dealerships that the two new accessories will not be shipped. Now, needing more diagnostic tools for the supercharger is pretty much pushing it, but for the CAI is just plain ridiculous! But, that is what the company is telling their salespeople when they visit. So, for whatever the reason, they say we should not expect any of it until fall. I am more willing to believe the source I talk to there for most of it, as all of the newer info on the SC that has been coming out lately was told to me by them last October, and matches most of the news others on here have been hearing from their sources. In addition, they are so sure of the longer wait that they are trying to stock a different CAI at their dealership (nothing for sure as of yet) until the AEM comes out. So... no good news... but that is what I was told today :yawn: I will be buying my CAI elswhere in the meantime, it is not worth the wait to me. As for the SC, it will be later in the year before I am ready to buy it (I dont want to charge it, paying cash for mine), so I dont mind the wait... IF they dont come back and change it again. They do still stand by the fact that the SC will be offered both after the fact or at time of purchase.

thnx for the info well the SC is new i guess so they do need to do R&D but this is ridiculous keep moving the date, if they continue moving it im just gonna wait for the greddy turbo anyone know when that will be out :lalala:
