Default xBpC finished

I finally finished installing my Mini-box M100 into my xB today. I have it running composite video (so,so) to my Alpine CVA-1004 headunit until I mount a touchscreen. I have run a powered USB extention with a USB 802g plug on it up into the roofliner. The unit is totally quiet except the harddrive which you cant hear inside the case. I am using it for internet , GPS and MP3s. I also have a USB bluetooth adaptor mounted to access my RAZR for wireless internet when their is no free internet and to download pictures from my phone. There is a cable to connect to my Nextel i860 to use their internet service wich uses packet data. The power supply is 12v external so it was no problem to run it in the car. iTuner who makes the M100 sent me an ITPS which starts the pc when I turn the car on and gives it a shut down signal 5 seconds after I turn the car off. It will issue a hard shutdown if the pc locks up. And will shut off the 5 volt rail on the power supply that is always powered when you have power plugged in even if your PC is off to not drain the battery. It has a front mounted LCD that will display pretty much any info you want it to about the PC weather stocks Yahoo RSS feeds etc. You can controll Winamp via the front mounted buttons and control the volume. The LCD also has 7 GPO output that can power leds or switch relays. I have mounted to blue leds in the front panel. One will flash when I recieve email and the other is on when Winamp is playing.

Very nice man!

Hard to tell in the picture - how's the picture quality on the display? And did you buy the PC preconfigured, or build id it yourself? Been seriously debating this route...

Default M100

Here is the link to Ituners webpage. The M100 sells for $400 and up depending on your configurations. I like the no sound issue. Mine is the fanless model. Im not using it for dvds as I have my Alpine for that. I am more than likely going to replace the Alpine head unit with a new 7" 16:9 touchscreen lcd in the dash. http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl/sc.8/ca...it.A/id.332/.f
