Default Just ordered my K&N CAI. Pics and Video comming soon!

I've worked hard all week and i feel like treeting myself to a new intake for my tc. I've seen and heard the K&N CAI from your posts' and i love it. I think this is what i want to buy.

I did a google search and found a "Typhoon Intake Kit" (CA) 2.4L L4 F/I 69-8607TB $234.10

Is this the actual K&N CAI? Is the price normal? Is there any negative things about the K&N CAI that i should concider before investing any money into it?

I really want to order my intake today, so any feedback is appreciated.

As soon as i get it installed i will definitely take pics, soundclips, and video's to post for you guys.

EDIT:

I dont care for performace. I just want my car to sound more aggressive
Thanks in advance.

Greg

dont know if the one you posted is the right one or the gaines or anything but they look real sweet. scion dad posted a pic of his engine bay and it looks real hot. o yea and also some people say cold air intakes sometimes could get water into your engine but i dont really know nothing about that

if you dont care about performance, and just want the sound, then I think a short ram would give you the same results that you want, and you wouldn't have to worry about puddles.

Does anyone have any sound clips or videos of their tc with a short ram intake? If so can you please post them?

Thanks in advance.

Not really. In order for your engine to hydro lock, the filter has to be completley submerged under water. a little water will not hurt the engine.

Well, if you haven't ordered it already, yes that is a high price. I've seenthem going for just under $200. However, *if* the place has it is stock (cicrumspect because everyone seems to be on backorder for that part) it might be worth it to you. Most places are saying ~June when it will be back in stock.

I just placed my order. I looked around and the only 2 places i found that had it in stock were both $236. (Free shipping though).

It will be here by next monday. I will definitely post pics and video.

Is it difficult to install the cold air intake? will it come with instructions?

ummm... unless yer driving through deep ___ puddles or somehow submerge your whole front end then you dont have to worry about puddles or hyrdolocking. my CAI has been through rain and puddles and it has not affected my engine.

My intake from 4filters.com cost $257.51 with free shipping and no tax? I'm in Texas but I still like the price! Oh I got an email from hopupracing and they just got a few blue ones in today if anyone is intrested?

Does anyone think 4filters.com is just saying they have one to make you hurry and place your order? I dunno but I wanted one anyways so I bought it! I have to say though I am very impressed with their quick shipping. I bought mine last night after telephone hours and this morning it was already shipped. I'm thinking it will be here by tomorrow or thursday. Look forward to more videos!
