Just think of what you would like, and make it so.

I know nothing about electronics. Yes, I plan on learning, but in the meantime I can't decide if I'd like to change my guage color to white, or maybe a bright blue, or even a bright yellow color.

That is why i was hoping to see some pics.

Btw, what was the point of your reply if you didn't have any pics to post? Was it helpful to me in any way?

My imagination says that a bright warm color or fluorescent cold colour would probably be hard on the eyes, though easier to see. I'd say that if you were to go with a change, a rich red, or perhaps a deep blue would serve you best. I'd definitely stay away from yellows, oranges, cyans, and pinks...I should think the eyestrain would be too much.

You can also use the red search button and find some pictures, they are out there, I could find them if I wanted, so I'm sure with a little work you could too!

I did do a search. I typed in "led guage" and searched all forums. I chose about 10 threads that were listed and none offered what I am asking for.

Here are mine (I need to take a better pic of the gauges, little blurry). You can see that the Randode blue cold cathodes are a perfect color match (you can also tell the console is dim but a fix is in the works).

Wow that looks pretty nice. I do have a question though can you mix 2 or 3 colors or does it have to stay one color?

You can make it look like a rainbow if you like. Just choose and install the different color led's

You can mix but only to a certain extent. Like with the needles on the gauges, the light that the needles get is the same light as the numbers so you would be limited there unless you repainted the needle but that is risky. The buttons on the console each have their own LED, so you could have a rainbow there. The LCD screens also have their own set of LEDs, so you could say make them white and the gauges/console red/blue/green whatever.

^^^ Thanks.

Taking the gauge cluster apart is a piece of cake, takes maybe 5 mins. The console is a much harder to take apart if you've never done it before, I had a _____ of a time removing the piece surrounding the stick.

I got my LED's from Digi-Key but if I were you I'd get them from http://www.lc-led.com/Products/department/5, you might get better results.

Check my profile for the LED Swap offer that is still valid. At the bottom of that page are some pictures of my work.

I can do any color you like, as long as they make the LED in the proper package.
