Default HKS wagon exhaust resonator

I was thinking about getting this exhaust but one thing puzzles me...Why is the resonator not in line with the exhaust flow. Its in a seperate chamber. Seems like this would make the exhaust flow worse. I mean im no expert in exhausts but someone with performance/exhaust experience fill me in.

Thanks

LOL! you should see the HKS cat-back for the S2000. holy resonators batman!

in general, axle-backs aren't going to net you great power gains. it's mainly for the look and sound. sure there might be a hint of throttle response but the gains are going to be greatly varied from brand to brand to the point of arguing over. pick which one you think sounds good and looks good (craftsmanship construction and aesthetic wise) and go with it.
