springs+shocks or springs+swaybar
guys, i dont know if i should get teh spring+shock package or the spring+swaybar package. oh by the way, these are all TRD items. it would be great if someone responded asap cuz im about to order...thanks. and which INTAKE would u guys recommend? should i wait for injen to release one for the tC or just get the AEM cold air intake or just get a generic brand cuz intakes all essentially have the same function?
there aren't enough choices out there now for a good set of coilovers and they're all stupidly expensive and minorly adjustable.... they're 1200+ just for the set and there's only about 2 companies that have em... tein and ground control... there are more in the works like H&R, progress, JIC, tanabe etc that look really good but it's just not worth the extra cost unless you're going to bring your car to the track on and off all the time or slam it for shows etc. daily drivers don't need full coilovers.
I would go with sway bars and springs and get shocks in months and months later when the stocks are no good anymore. Here's a link to the Hotchkis sways and TRD springs at TRD Sparks, I wish those sways were out when I did over my suspension, probably get those sways later. Right now I have the TRD shocks, springs and rear sway bar.

Your best bet would be to find someone who knows what they're doing installing suspensions and have them do it for you. Don't take it to the dealership or any big shop because they charge a ridiculous amount of money for things like that. You could do it yourself with the tutorial on this site and the equipment needed. It's extremely easy and straightforward but it's time consuming, like an hour per corner for your first time.
by the time you need to replace your shocks there will probably be better aftermarket ones available than TRD. You don't really "need" new shocks if you get new springs, but the lower you go on your drop, the bumpier the ride will be on stocks and the faster they will wear/blow out. a small drop like TRD (1.25in) isn't huge, 2+in is big and would need higher nitrogen and shorter shaft shocks.
