What do you mean?
To prevent abuse of this area you must have 50 posts on your account and be a member for at least 14 days to have authorization to post in this area. Premium Members are excepted from this rule.

How do you know how many posts you have?
Click your name to the left of your post (the top one). You'll see your post count on the right side of your profile.

What about this horizontal bar thing under my name?
That is your activity bar. It shows the percentage of posts you have out of 1000. Once you reach 1000 posts then it will show as a full bar.

How do you get the posts?
Anytime you post a new topic or a reply it will be recorded in your account. If you post bogus posts just to bump your post count up then the mods will get mad at you, hunt you down and torture you... ...or just ban you. If you do this, your posts will be deleted and you may receive a warning.

My post count went DOWN, what the heck?
Regional and club forum posts are pruned if they have no replies within 90 days, so if you posted many posts in those forums then when the messages were pruned your post count went down along with them! Post in the technical forums, or the model-specific forums and your post count will never be reduced because thoses posts are kept forever.

Just curious, why do I have to wait until i have 50 posts to do much on here? I can understand needeing at least one or two posts... but 50? just nuts.... This website isn't my life, I don't make pointless posts like a lot of people.

The 50-post restriction is only for two areas of the site... off-topic and classifieds.

We had an early problem where people would create accounts just to post in these areas, and then it would cause issues. Some people would cause problems in off-topic by posting slurs, insults, etc. Others would spam the classifieds with 50 topics about the same thing. When we instituted the 50-post restriction it virtually stopped all of these problems.

Amended to include new 14 days rule. So you need to have at least 50 posts... and be a member of the site for at least 14 days to be able to post here (and the Classifieds area).
