Well it depends on what header you got. I don't remember anyone saying that they stripped their bolts or that they ruined their O2 sensor. It's all speculation, nobody really has a solution right now unless you want to spend 400$+ for the Alphawerks headers.

If you haven't bought your headers yet, do NOT buy Megan Racing headers! They were poorly engineered and deteriorate quickly with regular driving

I second what Giravani said. Megan RAcing headers are teh suk! Had them for about 1500miles or so and had to replace them in less than 1600miles of wear from nearly(80% of the time) regular driving. Went with the alphawerks header and no problems since(fast foreward 2000miles later)

I've had the DC header since December and mine are starting to rust. In regards to you orginal question, a lot of people have had trouble removing the O2 sensor from the stock header. They usually damage the threads and/or the sensor in the process. I used WD-40 to help loosen it and it came off easily. Be careful if you do use WD-40 by not getting any on the senor.

Just use a closed end wrench, and take it off.. its really not that hard folks... i've got to be by-far the worst mechanically inclined person on here, and I did just fine. Just take your time, and put the thing in your car when you take it out.. on the seat so it wont break.

Dont forget to bolt the OEM Bracket. If you do not bolt up the OEM Bracket on the collector you will cut short the life of the header. Basically if you do not use the OEM bracket your welds are more prone to crack because of all the engine movement on the tC. That is why we put in the OEM Bracket to extend the life of the headers. That is of course if you have the Alphawerks header.
