Default ScionSport FX-1 Grille Question ?

Hello all, I need help perm. mounting the mesh on this FX-1 Grille I bought. The back of thr grille is raw fiberglass & the Hot Glue just does not want to grab.

What else could I use that will keep this thing in place ? I feel I have about another day or so before it flies off & hits the car behind me & I get sued for everything I have & / or may have in the future , so please help !!!

I wasn't sure if this belonged in coefficient or general xB so I just put it here. Sorry if it is in the wrong forum, it wasn't on purpose !

PIC Below for those who don't know

Any help, as alway is greatly appreciated !

Maybe drill some small holes and use wire to tie it in? Epoxy?

I would rather not drill holes as I just had it painted. Epoxy could work ! I was thinking JB Weld but don't know how it will hold on raw fiberglass.

I just figured I would get some more opinions thinking maybe someone else has this grille or one like it & experienced the same problems.

we put a silicone/urethane around the back edge but we also put a black piece of metal behind the mesh to keep the engine clean .
the exact product we used is calle dow/corning 995 it is special made to hold metal to glass and plastics of the bigger window film shops that do safety film will have it .
PM me if you cant find it some i have 5 cases left from a job we did.

Mine turned out pretty good as you can see, only problem I had was when the hot glue failed & I had to remove the grille to JB kwik it on. Well, when re-intsalling the grille I popped the black corner pin in & I must of had the grille off a little to the left & the paint fractured in a V shape. It is not noticable unless you are about an inch from it or in the right light. Thank god but it still sucks that it happened.

I was very unhappy with ScionSports customer service as well. Placed order with & paid for 3 day shipping. Get an e-mail saying it won't be in for days cause they had to order it from the manufacturer. Did not say out of stock on the site !!!! E-mailed seller said I need ASAP. No response, E-mailed again 2 days later Need Grille now to get painted in time for VIP show. Oh I will ship out 2 day at my expense due to my delay, or you can cancel your order if that's not fast enough! Well thanks for the help, thank god my paint guy got it done & ready for me in less than 2 days !!!!

Ps. They never answer the phone either - Any number they have listed on the site for that matter !

Yet I will still be a return customer due to there great prices but I won't call on them when I need anything in a hurry from now on !!!!

Please explain for us. I may be a return customer but if they are that bad I would rather spend my money with someone I can trust.

There are plenty of great people on here to get parts from so I am not to worried about them !

IE : Fluxmr2spyder - FiberFx , Randode, Jinsu & many more ! I have had a great experience with these sellers & I will always go back to them even if their price is slightly higher. It is worth it to not have to deal with certain companys.

well i ordered a messed up fab spoiler from them. it basically wouldnt sit right. it had a little over a 1/2" gap on each side. i brought it to 3 different shops, all for them to say that i would have to reheat it and mold it. so all together painting and heating and remolding would cost me like $600. 3 seperate, non-affiliated shops. so i wanted to return it, cause it was defective. then there was another hassle but that got cleared up. basically i dont wanna buy something cause if their part is messed up i have to pay to ship it back.

i know that it happened to someone else too. they sent him the wrong part and he had to pay to ship it back, despite it being their fault. meh.

if i did order from them again, i would just wanna know it worked and fit. and buying from them again would be risking that.
