I just got the car back from the body shop all debaged. I love how it looks, very clean. Let me know what you guys think.

 

Did you have the body shop do that? Probably would have been pretty simple to do it yourself (I know there are DIY guides on here somewhere). They did a nice job, but I probably would have left the Scion logo.

Have you considered redding out the stop lamp in the middle? Maybe an overlay or something? I think that would look nice since you have a darker color.

 

Well I could have taken the scion logo off myself however it would leave an indent. The body shop filled in this indent and painted it. I have been thinking of redding out the third brake light think it would look sweet.

 

Ah... didn't really realize it was indented. That makes sense then. As for the red, ya, that brake light is screaming for it right now.

 

Lol yea I know. It is on my list of things I want to do to my car. I am going to attempt to make the entire thing light up as well rather than just the center of it.

It was an insurance job so I didnt have to pay anything. I had some other body damage and they ended up repainting the entire car with extra coats of clearcoat so it wont scratch as easily. I must say I am very happy with thier work.

 

Looks good, I've been thinking about doing that. I'm planning on keeping the rebadged xC on mine though.

 

yeah i did that too, but i did it myself and it came out pretty well, took long though...also got the redout for rear brake light...

xC is what the car was originally supposed to be named, but Volvo owns rights to xC for one of their cars.

 

What did you use to fill in the indent left by the scion logo? Did you paint it yourself with an air compressor or did you have a body shop do it for you?

I dont think it could cost more than a few hundred dollars. The piece that the logo is mounted to is removable so you could just take it off the hatch and have the body shop match the paint after they fill it in.
