Plenty of peeps have run gauges there. I'm pretty sure its just open space back there. Try a search and see. Or, check this month's Featured Ride.

I put 3 gauges in that spot. There is plenty of room behind there. You should remove the dash. It will make it easier to put the gauge brackets on and wire it neatly. I doubt you can get to them thru the speedometer hole.

I got to them through that hole. I have 4 gauges there and I never removed my dash to do it. You just have to be alittle limber in the fingers to do it

I would like to know who all has installed a water temp and oil pressure guage. I am planning on putting them in plus a volt meter in my box next to the speedo gage. I haven't really looked into spots yet on the engine that they attach too. I would like to know where you have attached the oil pressure line and water time line to the block that is if you used mechanical guages or did you use electronic gages and attach to sending units??

I am planning on gong with autometer mechanical guages 2 1/16". Any of you have any pics of your guages that you can post?

I'll be checking out this months featured xB to see what they did.

Most people use electrical gauges. Very simple to hook up. Just make sure you ground the sensors correctly or you will get incorrect readings. I got my sender adapters at the following links:
