Default Hotchkis Sway Bars Installed

:D What a difference!!! It feels as though the car is locked down on rails going around corners!! The Goldline springs, Hotchkis suspenson and the B.F. Goodrich KDW's are the ultimate way to cruise. If anyone is interested in a suspension mod, Hotchkis is the way to go! :D

My son (15) and I did it in our garage. We put the box on 4 jackstands about a foot and a half up. The back, a blind person could put on!!! The front was a little tricky but it took us about 3-4 hours in the front. Impact tools are great. We took our time going back and forth reading the instuctions and I think it was pretty easy. The hardest part about the whole thing was using 2 diferent sized floor jacks to put the car back on the ground. :D

My hat goes off to you my friend!!!! It is always great to hear that others have mastered the dreaded sway bar install! :D Did you have any support on the motor when the subframe was dropped? Did you bend any steering hoses?

I did have to slightly bend the power steering hose and putting the 10mm bolt back in that holds them down was tough. i haven't hear any air noises yet but i'll let you know today on the drive to work. Thanks Stylis! It means alot to get praised by you. :D

Forgot to say that I didn't support the engine in anyway. When the brace was being loosened, I had the floor jack under the brace, loosened the bolt and then eased the jack down to lower the brace. When you reinstall the sway bar, install the bolts on the engine side first, tighten them almost all the way, then put in the back ones. If you don't, you won't get the bolts in.

Hey Stylis--I might be making a visit to Precision to get my Swaybars installed when I get around to affording them--keep up the good work with the suspension everyone--great to see people adding stuff like this instead of Type R seat belt pads and shift *****.

Yup, took me two hours to put my bars in. I had access to a lift though.

The xB turns sooooooooo much better once they were installed.

I gave M@ a ride on my xB after I put the TEIN coilovers in, I think coilovers are on his list of things to do.

no, I don't hear anything at all. Maybe you really do have an air leak somewhere. Take it to the dealer and have them do a diagnostic on the vehicle. Drive with the tech and point out the noise. That way they no our not crazy. :D

I mean it! Much props on the install. I know its hard to get those swaybar bushing holdowns on too. They are bigger then the original hold downs and I sometimes have trouble( for min )
