Their drivers are decent. They perform slightly under some of the competitors in the same class. Their budget woofer is a tad lower quality than the Adire offerind, eD's offering, RE's offering, Treo's offering, Arc's offering, etc. They're decent, but not mind blowing. Overall, I'd rate their driver's average. People swear by teh Avalanche, but I wasn't that impressed upon listening to it on both a sound board, and in a vehicle. Granted, it performed fairly well, but it wasn'tmind blowing. I'd prefer to spend that money on a better driver personally.

Hope this isn't a way to scheme free advertisement.

I would put one of these up against eDs subs any day. I am surprised you put them in the same class as the other subs you mentioned. eD is so overhyped it's crazy.

eD's higher model subs are pretty good (for what they're worth). In a good install, they sound great (again, for what they're worth). Still though, it's all subjective. I like SQ, so the features about different products I like might be different than the features others look for. Doesn't make either of the opinions right or wrong, just means that we look for different things. I don't think they're over hyped really, I mean think about it, they're still a budget minded, and budget friendly product. Over advertised, maybe, but not really over hyped. They're an average (and in special cases, above average) product. They still perform along the same lines (in the budget range) as the bottom 75-80% of product in teh same budget class. They're not overly impressive, but they aren't a let down either. But, they are very install dependant.

yeah, i guess i'd agree. i used to run a single eD 12, I forget the model, but it was decent. they definetly outperform comparably priced models that you would find at the big box retailers. For high performance drivers there are better options, that's all. They don't really offer anything unique compared to some of the other options that are out there at similiar price points. I guess we could go back and forth, but I guess the bottom line is that they fill a certain niche in the market, and yea for the average consumer they make a decent driver.
