Default Full Exhaust?

Does anyone make a full exhaust? Not just the axle back style. I have an intake and header, why bother with just an axle back if the mid section is still restrictive?

Anyone know much about replacing the catalytic converter with a higher flow model? Any issues with the O2 sensor when replacing the cat with an aftermarket?

I noticed a marked improvement with the intake and then adding the header. I'd like to have a much better flowing system, and an axle back exhaust isn't going to be complete.

Say 'bye bye' to powertrain warranty. I'll keep my warranty instead of 1 more horse on my dragster, I mean xB.

Actually PrecisionMuffler.com used to make full manifold back exhaust systems when we first opened up a year and half ago.

But demand died so we just stuck with the axle backs and grew from there. There was never any problems at the dealerships during service and check engine lights were also never a problem. I hope this helps to answer your question.

I have a 2.25 inch custom system from the O2 sensor/cat all the way back. Sounds nice, has a low growl to it, and its actual cost was cheaper than most think for a full custom system. The mid-pipe is actuall 2 inch diameter, and from the OEM resonator back, its choked down to 1.75 inch diameter.

Some systems are cheaper and LOUDER, because some shops use glasspack mufflers for resonators.

One problem w/ that besides the noise level that will prolly attract cops, at least here in CA, is the interior cabin resonance. You can't hear yourself talk! I have a Magnaflow resonator, and they come in 3 different lengths.

I'm no an expert, and just giving you the 411 on what works for me and what I have seen, heard, and experienced.

So how much to make a new full system? Ever get any dyno numbers? I want to get a cam-con, but not untill I can help the car breath a little. I've noticed that with just the injen short ram and the dc sport header, that my car runs fairly rich. So I'm hoping with a full exhaust and a cam-con I can utilize all that extra fuel.

Is there a company that makes something to help boost the spark output without removing the factory spark plug coil packs?

edit: Oh yeah, is there a speed limiter on these things? I can get to 120, but no farther, only limited by power output.

Hmm, I have the INJEN short ram and DC Sports header also, but I'm not tunning rich. I don't think the exhaust has anything to do w/ it. All of my exhaust mods, excpet the header, are after the O2 sensors.

I had the same setup as you...intake n headers...with a full 2.25 exaust with no cat or resonator and it is the worst damn thing you can do. The car felt SOOOOO damn slow compared to how it was. Just go with a catback n you'll be set.

putting on an exhaust that removes your catalytic conver will not void your powertrain warranty...

if it does anything, it will void the warranty on the factory exhaust system and catalytic converter (the parts that are directly effected) and the O2 sensor that plugs into the cat...

they can not deny warranty work on say your transmission or power windows if you have installed and exhaust system or intake...

Squirrel, I'd have to agree with dgtllvr, I have the ingen sr and dc sport header, but i still have stock exhaust, definately feels a bit rich, I hope that feeling will go away with the catback system that is sitting on my workbench.

uhmmmmm hawhat? yeah no . anything downstream of the cat converter cannot void powertrain. if you remove/ replace cat you will say bye bye to the emissions parts warranty.

The manifold back system will not stop your car from running rich; if anything the motor will run about the same with more HP. If you want a better spark, you should change out your spark plugs to the NGK iridiums to burn all of the fuel properly. Try them and see what happens. Hope this helps you and Xbilly

I also changed my plugs at 35k miles instead of 30 as recommended by the manual.

I'm now at 45k miles. I recently checked the gap and the plugs looked good.

Maybe its just the way I drive or something.

You can go to any parts store and ask for them, just do a search for the plug part number here on Scionlife. :D I hope this helps.
