Jaywade24 02-24-2004, 12:05 AM Uhmmmm in a word.. ..no.....but don't I wish  DibujoB 02-24-2004, 12:07 AM you should buy an IS....then get a bunch of fiberglass and built an off the wall box-body kit! EL_PAALO 02-24-2004, 12:31 AM I doubt an inline 6 will fit up there, besides the fact that I don't think there are any front drive trannies for the engine. Anything is possible with enough money. Maybe the Atezza turbo 4? DJ_X_Trodinaire 02-24-2004, 01:30 AM my IS will be for sale soon wanna buy and try? :D silkywilson 02-24-2004, 01:31 AM Hell if your gonna cram the 6 cyl in there why not make it RWD also..what the hell were dreaming right?.. but This is the "Tread and Butter forum" so im gonna imagine he means wheels and tires... sorry the IS is a 5 lug car.. its_ikon 02-24-2004, 04:29 AM the 2j will in no way fit. it is impossible unless you move the dash to the rear seat. HotBox 02-24-2004, 04:32 AM mayb the is200 yes 200 from japan might fit they were offered in a 4banger and a 6 maybe one of those might fit never know im hoping that one guy can stfuff the 2sg into his scion analogvoid 02-24-2004, 01:46 PM This swap would require a rediculous amount of work. Go pop the hood of an IS or a Gen. IV Supra. That 6 cylinder is way to long to mount transversly in FWD car and finding a tranny to do FWD application would be nearly impossible since that engine was never designed for FWD. RWD... well.. tub the car out and prepare to have part of that engine in the cabin. Good Luck! It would definitely be a project and something interesting to see. peppy 02-24-2004, 08:44 PM you could pull the rear seats and mount the motor behind the front seats and make a mid engine RWD scion :) anything can be done with money, but just cause you can doesn't mean you should analogvoid 02-24-2004, 08:56 PM you could pull the rear seats and mount the motor behind the front seats and make a mid engine RWD scion :) anything can be done with money, but just cause you can doesn't mean you should Very true, anything can be done with money.. xbracer 02-24-2004, 09:42 PM ite well what's the fastest engine you could prolly squeeze in an xB?!?!, thnx 4 da IS fax. NemoBronsky 02-25-2004, 01:41 AM Hell if your gonna cram the 6 cyl in there why not make it RWD also..what the hell were dreaming right?.. but This is the "Tread and Butter forum" so im gonna imagine he means wheels and tires... sorry the IS is a 5 lug car.. lmao, gotta love u guys JDMxB 02-25-2004, 08:08 PM ite well what's the fastest engine you could prolly squeeze in an xB?!?!, thnx 4 da IS fax. Well, two things have been tried--don't know the results though. Celica GT/GT-S and MR2 Turbo. analogvoid 02-25-2004, 08:15 PM A 1ZZ-FE in an xA would deffinitely be fun.. a 2ZZ-GE in an xA would be REAL fun.. i don't see why it would be such a hard swap. Id like to see how the weight distribution changes if anything. showroom 02-25-2004, 08:29 PM mayb the is200 yes 200 from japan might fit they were offered in a 4banger and a 6 maybe one of those might fit never know im hoping that one guy can stfuff the 2sg into his scion might as well think about taking a landcruiser platform and some mudgrips on the xB too. oh wait....mbenz gwagen? those 200s were european, right? methinks they were always altezza in japan. Fredzy 12-03-2006, 02:23 AM A 1ZZ-FE in an xA would deffinitely be fun.. a 2ZZ-GE in an xA would be REAL fun.. i don't see why it would be such a hard swap. Id like to see how the weight distribution changes if anything. Hah yea I was gonna say, put a Celica GT-S motor in there, 180hp and all kinda revs. hotbox05 12-03-2006, 04:19 AM mayb the is200 yes 200 from japan might fit they were offered in a 4banger and a 6 maybe one of those might fit never know im hoping that one guy can stfuff the 2sg into his scion you mean the altezza? there is no such thing as an is200. silly kids. ha ha . to the original poster..... you don't know much at all about cars do you ? Fredzy 12-03-2006, 04:25 AM you mean the altezza? there is no such thing as an is200. silly kids. ha ha . to the original poster..... you don't know much at all about cars do you ? Well, there was an IS200 - in europe. Since it was marketed under Lexus, it wasn't called Altezza. And I don't think that final question was necessary, haha. tC9o9 12-03-2006, 04:28 AM even if it fits.. its a rwd engine, good luck on converting the xB. hotbox05 12-03-2006, 04:33 AM you mean the altezza? there is no such thing as an is200. silly kids. ha ha . to the original poster..... you don't know much at all about cars do you ? Well, there was an IS200 - in europe. Since it was marketed under Lexus, it wasn't called Altezza. And I don't think that final question was necessary, haha. if the original poster can go and leisurely ask if a 2jz can be swapped into an xB they know VERY , VERY little about cars if they even remotely think it could be pratical , or allready done. oh and the is200 is rare , and that motor is a piece of garbage. Fredzy 12-03-2006, 04:40 AM Haha, yea, When I said it wasn't a necessary question, I mean't like "No sh*t he don't know nuttin about cars." Is the Euro IS200 3S-GE powered? That motor is sweet, c'mon. hotbox05 12-03-2006, 04:42 AM no it appears it's a 2.0 straight six. the 3sgte is a good motor but it's VERY very expensive to tune , it can work in fwd , awd , or rwd but it's LARGE , expensive and yeah. easy to get 600 streetable hp out of. Fredzy 12-03-2006, 04:48 AM Yea I noticed the 3SGE/GTE seemed beefy - latest I've seen it used is the Caldina GT-Four. That thing made me thing of an AWD 3S-GTE tC heh, but that's dreaming. |
