View Full Version : Has anyone installed projector lights????
fended 02-24-2004, 12:44 AM I just got my lights today and I was wondering if anyone has installed a set of these?
If so does anyone have any tips on the installation since mine didn't come with instructions?
Thanx
Besk_one 02-24-2004, 12:49 AM pm showpaojoe or bbist
they both have them installed on their boxes
showpaojoe 02-24-2004, 12:50 AM heads or tails? i got both
rear is easy, pop off the covers in the trunk, 2 bolts and jiggle it off
front is harder-take off the bumper and grille, the headlight turn signal that comes with it duznt fit so your gunna have to file the hole bigger (it looks like a cross, make sure to make one "cross section" bigger so it fits in and locks). put a cloth or something inside so the shavings won't get in, theyre hard to get all out. then your just gunna have to splice the wires to get the led workin with the turn signals
showpaojoe 02-24-2004, 12:55 AM to remove front bumper

fended 02-24-2004, 12:55 AM Thanks showpaojoe. The only wire that needs splicing is the led one? So I just cut off the plug it comes with nad splice it to the turn signal wires?
fended 02-24-2004, 12:56 AM Yeah I got the bumper part it looks fairly easy to remove. I was just wondering about the wiring.
hahajoey 02-24-2004, 01:01 AM wanna sell your stock headlights?
i'll give u 100 for them.
showpaojoe 02-24-2004, 01:02 AM i still haven't played around with mine yet so i got my led on all the time with the headlight, i didnt know at the time it was for turn signals
as for mine, i spliced every wire in case i wanted to put back the stock headlights so no cutting of the stock wiring was involved.
fended 02-24-2004, 01:34 AM thanks for the help showpaojoe. I'm gonna try to install tommorrow so i'll post the outcome.
Hahajoey I'm gonna install them tommorrow, yeah if you want them i'll sell them to you, but i'm in Miami so you gotta figure out the shipping.
showpaojoe 02-24-2004, 01:39 AM if you don't get the wiring for some reason, i'll undue mine and check 4 ya
fended 02-24-2004, 02:34 AM Thanks showpao if I have a problem I'll post it here. i can't wait to see them on.
Thanks again.

fended 02-24-2004, 05:05 AM Lets do this when I take them out I'll post them for sale on the private party classifides thread probably on Wed. or Thurs. of this week. I'll post it on here also just in case.
fended 02-24-2004, 09:11 PM I got them in. They look sweet and the install took me about 1 hr. by myself, not bad at all.
showpaojoe 02-24-2004, 09:15 PM nice, did you get em workin with the turns or on all the time?
fended 02-24-2004, 09:22 PM No not yet I think what I'm gonna do is leave the side lights on always and just connect the LED's as the turn signals, but that's for tommorrow.

Pablo_xB 02-24-2004, 09:23 PM Man somebody needs to make something especially for the box. I don't likw all of this splicing stuff. I've also heard they don't aim the right way.
I'm just chicken when it comes to mods
fended 02-25-2004, 12:56 AM Yeah I wanted to ask showpaojoe how his lights aiming was. I just got a chance to see them at night and they look to be very disaligned.
