i have these weird stains that sorta look like clear spray paint. you dont really notice it until you look close and when you touch it, it feels horrible. everytime i touch it i get mad. hehe.
ive tried to wax it out. ive tried mothers clay bar and then wax. neither have helped. do i have any other options?

i was gonna suggest using a clay bar beacause i had a clearcoat overspray from when i smoked my taillights and after using the claybar for 45minutes or so, i got it all off. :)

Use a PC (Porter Cable) to buff it out with some 3M Polish for dark cars, though I won't recommend it for beginners...

or wet sand with 1500 grit then glaze then polish

Sounds like tree sap... A clay bar should have worked? :ponder:
Time to whip out the buffer... BE CAREFUL!

if it is sap, use goo gone or some other citrus based cleaner. If that doesnt work, some lacquer thinner on a rag will usually do it. If you use lacquer thinner, you will need to polish afterwards because it will leave a dull spot. It is safe to do this as long as you only us a little bit applied to a rag. You obviously dont want to pour the thinner onto the paint. It sounds scary but Ive done this many times on customer cars where they had really bad tree sap.

I heard alcohol on a rag gets sap off.

i think its some clear coat from when i was originally tryin to do my tailights while attached to the car...i know, im retarded. i just need to be a little more patient with the clay bar. which i will try tonite.
