anybody take the grill off their tc completely yet? i kinda like the look of no grills.

 

It won't be perfectly black without grilles I think, I believe it will be parts of frame/radiator exposed. Not a great sight.

 

Ya, in theory would look ok, but there are parts back there that the grilles hide.

I took mine out when I blacked it out....looks like crap..you can totally see the horns and the radiator brackets. Heres what mine looks like blacked out:

 

It'll look super ghetto... like someone stole your grill.

 

I'm not a big fan of the blacked out emblem though. I think it would actually be cleaner if you were able to remove it.

Dont we all. If you take it off, theres a flat black oval that looks even worse. Nobody makes a stock style grille yet with no badge so thats really the only optoion.

You guys crack me up. The grill will reduce the time between buying a new radiator when holes get punched in it by road debris.

 

 

That's nice and all, but it looks out of place with the bottom one still stock.

 

that's like.. the total opposite of the look I want to achieve when i get my tc. more like something like this.. disregard all the stickers and crazy paint though.

If you were to remove the grille and maybe use window screen to cover the gap from behind, that might give you the look you want and keep the brackets and horns from showing. It might look light crap, but its and idea you might want to try. It wouldnt cost more that $5 at the hardware store and take about 10 mins to install.

is it not made for the bottom part yet?

I have the patterns done for the upper grille. I am doing the prototype lower grille this week.

 

They sell sheets of these grilles at home depot for about $1.50 a sheet. they're about 3' long by about 8-10" wide. they're used to cover leave gutters along your roof. look in building supplies section.
