Dual Projector Installation Guide
I noticed that we didn't have a guide for installing new headlights, so I took some pics while I installed mine. Add to this guide as you wish.
Step 1: Raise your hood.
Step 2: Remove the top grille by removing the platic rivets on top (marked in the photo below) and the one in the center, which is beneath the hood latch.

Step 3: Cover the ground in front of the car with a clean tarp or something that will allow you to place the bumper cover on when you fold it down. Save the cover bolts and the lower plastic rivet in the above photo until last.
Begin with the removal of a screw beneath one of the wheelwells:

Now, begin to work your way down and under the front lip removing screws:

Take note how the small clips in the lower corner of each fenderwell fit so you can re-install them properly. When all the lower screws have been removed, remove the top bolts and the plastic rivet. Now, fold the bumper cover forward until it is laying on your tarp. Note that I did not remove the two plastic fingers that remain attached in the above photo. They are very flexible, so I left them in place to make relocation of the bumper easier. You will work around the bumper on the ground.
Step 4: Remove the stock headlights:

They are secured with four screws. GENTLY remove the housing and remove the stock wiring harnesses for the headlights and parking light.
Step 5: Install your new headlights, wiring first. Take care to avoid cracking the lenses by moving slowly. Note that the lower outside hanger fits to the OUTSIDE of the car. I secured my LED wires with some electrical tape and will hook them up later and make a Part II guide for them.
Step 6: Work backwards through the guide and re-fit the bumper cover and front grille, sit back and admire your work.

Step 7: Go for a drive, you deserve it.

I have a question that has to do with the installation of projectors. I just got a grillecraft grille for my xb. I'm wondering how hard it'll be to install the projectors once I've installed the grill.

These were plug and play... your basic Ebay units. However, the LED wires are not fitted with a harness and have to be wired in. I assume this is done so that the owner can choose where to wire the LEDs to create the desired effect. They can be always on, wired to turn signals, etc.
Plug and Play, that is easy enough ......... How is the light pattern at night, decent ?
Last question, promise ......... On the lights as your looking at them in the picture, we have the turn signal, then a light and anouther, which one is for the headlight ? are they both open on the back .... I have a set of strobes on my factory lights, had to drill a 1 inch hole and place them in ... I am hopeing that the lights have an extra hole to set the strobes in it ....
Nice Job ..... Thanks !

Mine have a hole to mount each of the bulbs, one bulb for dim, one for bright. There is a hole on the outside corner for the parking light/turn signal bulbs. Also, there are 3 smaller LED bulbs in the lower corner.
I hope that answered your question.

I believe you are fogging because there is air getting in around the bulbs. I'd make sure they are sealed as well as possible after the fogging clears. You could pull the bulbs and let them dry out. Try a bit of silicone sealant to seal the units. I'm experimenting with solutions since I had a small bit of fogging and others have reported the same.
Awesome write up! I just installed my new headlights with your help. Took about 2 hours but I am a total retard when it comes to doing this stuff.
The only thing I would add to the write up would be the fact that the clips you mention in the lower corner of each fenderwell also have bolts in them that you need to remove to get the bumper cover off.
Have you wired up your LEDs yet? I have no clue how to do that an would love to see your part II write up.
I am thinking I want to hook them into the turn signals...
Anyways, Thanks again.

im having a fogging problem also.. btw, i sealed them before installing.
i heard about people drilling a hole in them... i don't know where to drill it or how big of a hole to make though...
which would be better? sealing it better or drilling the hole?
