Default LED'S in AC outlet

Hello,

Does any one no how to do this project of putting LED's into the AC Outlets, how do you run wires and remove the areas to be worked on.

Thanks

I would use twin lead LEDs and run the wires on the outside of the ducts. Then drill holes where the LEDs will stick through into the duct. You will want to use a wide view angle LED (170 degree if possible) so you get good coverage. Then run the wiring through the proper sized load resistors and to a switch somewhere.

The resistors are calculated with the following formula:

R = (Vs - Vl)/I

Where:
R = Resistance in ohms
Vs = Source voltage
Vl = Forward voltage of LED (given in LED data)
I = Forward current rating of LED (also given with the LED data)

This is for designing the system using discreet components, and not with pre made LED/resistor combinations.

Not a big fan of the electrical tape holding the lights and the way you can see the leds through the vents. And i would reccomend using solder and heatshrink for the connections rather than the way they are shown on there. I would try using 170 degree LEDs mounted further back in the vent. Drilled in from the outside of the vent. This will provide more even lighting without being able to see that there are two leds right in the front of the vent. Just some suggestions.
