I got a pair of used OZ Superleggera's off another guy here and am having problems getting them to fit properly. The stock lugnuts tighten on straight thru the hole on the rim. So i got larger diameter ones and they barely fit. Im scared they will ruin the rims and fall off causing a crash. Pep Boys said they make lugnut washers for this problem but i cant find them. Does anyone know if they do and where i can order? Or possibly an extremely wide base lugnut. I contacted OZ and they said theyre on backorder and never contacted me back or will reply to my e-mails. Any tire experts know what will help. The stock lugnut i believe is M12 x 1.5 ( what the package said off new lugs )
PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I CRASH!

contact mcgard or go by a tire shop and get their opinion on the strength. Ive never heard of washers but im sure they exist.
Anyone else?

Who is mcgard, and all tire shops are idiots in my area. When i brake the wheel jerks to the left or right sometimes so i know something is wrong. But visually it seems ok and hasnt fallen off YET....

if the wheel jerks like that that means theres a brake problem some where on your front end

Our factory scion lugs have washers on them, well the Tc at least. Most aftermarket wheels use shouldered lugnuts and cannot use the factory washered ones. Mcgard is a manufacturer of security lugnuts.

What kind of car are you putting these on?
Are this new rims the proper bolt pattern for your car?
perhaps these used wheels have been drilled out by the previous owner?

I put them on my xA. Theyre the proper bolt pattern. Im assuming theyre drilled out, but why would someone do that and can they be repaired? As for the brakes im hoping its only because i need an alignment. Its been 18K and ive only been doing oil changes, not maintenance

Don't the OZ Superleggeras use a conical seat where the wheel studs come through? Is there a taper where the holes are? If they have been drilled out, I think that you should get new wheels...

did you torque them to spec. if you borrow a good torque wrench (not some jap crap, and american torque wrench 1/2" size) find the spec and torque them down. Tuner lugs are better. McGuard lugs are a nice tuner lug. the facory lugs are usualy bigger and sometimes wont work with a aftermarket wheel

the tC uses the exact same lug nuts as the xA's do, and we have a washer, so you should too
