I'm looking to buy the fab style spoiler but i don't want it in carbon fiber. I looking to purchase it in fiberglass. I know scionsport.com was selling them for 229.00 but the product isn't there anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Trust me I know about the bbist cf wing already.

Carbon fiber is paintable ya know that.

Umm...I'm sure he knows that CF is paintable. I think he doesn't want to pay the additional cost of CF if he's going to paint it anyway.

fyi. when i ordered the fab spoiler from scion sport it didnt fit. i brought it to 3 different body shops, and they all said that it would have to be reheated and molded just to fit. which basically means i would have to pay another couple hundred bucks to fix their faulty part. so i had to send it back.

Peabe, thanks for that info!! I'm glad that they don't sell it anymore. I've ordered many other things from there so i figured that i could trust them. Well I guess I'll just order the bBist wing and paint it then. Thanks guys for your input and info.

WOW! FAB wing doesn't fit XB. That is important to know before purchase. I want one but not if it does not fit fabulously. Thanks for the post!

i think he meant the original fabulous spoiler didnt fit, not the bBist one. talk to squirrel, i remember him saying how the fabulous spoiler he had had to be reworked to fit and everything. in the end he went with the bBist one...

The CF one from bBist is going to be your cheapest overall choice.

two things that more then likely will not be paired to well with eachother in a sentence... "CHEAP" and "FITS GOOD/RIGHT". just like the knock off made in taiwan, mexico, etc. bodykits running around the states these days they're cheap to buy but an arm and a leg to fit correctly/good onto your car. :P

like someone else said americans want good quality products at cheap cost but in japan more often then not quality is at a higher priority then price.

I found a good price, $210 on a fiberglass FAB type spoiler. From sterrtconcepts.com
$50 shipping. It arrived today. It will need to be painted. They say that it will fit. If not, it goes back and a better business bureau complaint will be filed. It was not protected well, the side corner popped out of the bubble wrap and the side looks like it was dragged on a wherehouse floor.
Now I will be hunting for a body shop to paint and install it.
Photos will be posted, I promise.

I have an original Fabulous wing that ws over $560 shipped from Japan and took over 4 months to get.

I am currently running the bBist Fab style wing, and neither wing needed any modifcation for fitment.

They both went on w/o any sanding, grinding, bending, or whatever to the mounting areas.

The original Fabulous wing did need prepping and sanding where the join line was prior to primer and paint..

As I reported, the corner popped out of the bubble wrap and the side looks scratched up. NO hardware, NO instructions, NOTHING like a clamp or a place on the wing where a clamp would hold it. WTF? I expected at least brackets, (U or C clamps) and two sided tape. See photos and comment if you have a clue as to WTF?

take a picture of the side that goes against the hatch on one of the ends. There should be two small indents. If these weren't opened up they need to be. The U bracket slips into the notch on the wing and clamps down onto the edge of the hatch on the inside.

that looks cool, how much is it. I don't see that wing on bBist.com, only some APR CF one :(

Rule for life: Cheapest is not always best, sometimes no good at all!
I bought the FAB Spoiler from streetconcept.com for $210 + 50 shipping.
It arrived with NO HARDWARE, NO INSTRUCTIONS and NO WAY to mount this fiberglass wing to any XB. Two body shops I went to said the same thing, "How do you mount it with no hardware"? There is no place on the fiberglass wing to mount any kind of bracket or anything. See photos below:

Now I must return this wing, streetconcept.com says to box it back up, they will fax me a bill of lading and I will get a full refund when they take it away.
I am disapointed, but I will feel better once a refund is back in my MasterCard account. Now, I will buy a carbon fiber wing as recomended by a SL member.

xBHawk the indentations in the pictures you just posted are where the C clips go. They have to be dremeled open. WIth the 2 clips in place and 2 rows of 5lb exterior double stick tape it shouldn't go anywhere.

Where is squirrel to confirm what I am seeing?

Dewmerz, I see the indentations on this side, but the other side had none. It seems like a defect in the fiberglass. The body shop guys said that there was not enough fiberglass to mount anything to. It is too much like an egg shell. It feels so light and the finish is not the best.
So I will return it and use the money to buy a carbon fiber FAB Wing.
