Default Garage door +1 scion -1 Tein install.

So during my spring install i had to make a trip up to the store, i put all my parts back in the garage left the hatch open and shut the door, little did i know the carnage that would soon commence. my hatch is f'ed, nice set of deep scratches, and the plastic peice that conceals the hood release is also trashed.

honda has a website that you can see all the factory parts and a diagram, does toyota/scion have something like this? www.hondaautomotiveparts.com ??? Anyways i probably wont replace the whole hatch over this, but i would like to order this plastic peice.

i will have pictures soon!

Also lowering springs, its worth it pay to have them installed, i have installed about 6 sets of springs/coilovers in hondas and let me tell you its like a 1 hour job. It took me about 4-5 hours to do these springs and it sucked so bad. There are too many things that can go wrong , just pay the money have the dealer or a shop do them.

Sorry for your loss. That website, however, is just from a dealer, not Honda themselves. I am not sure if there is a dealership for Scion that does that, sorry.

Right, i know that its a dealer, but they are the only one i know of with a site like that, i was just wondering if there was something similar for scion/toyota. Or if anybody works in parts department of scion if they could pm me.

I just did the same exact thing 2 days ago. My garage was closed and I had the hatch open. I told my mom to open the garage and now i have a really deep scratch from the bottom of my 3rd tailight, scratch in the tailight and a deep scartch on the top of the trunk. This doesn't help having been 30 mins after I blew out my tire and bent my rim.

because the trunk was full of ineterior parts, im not sure if you have installed springs yet but you pretty much have to empty out the whole rear interior with the exceptionr of the upper half of the back seat. if the car wouldnt of been jacked up so high it probably would of cleared it, i instantly wanted to throw up I closed the door because i would be gone for about 20 minutes, and i didnt want to leave about 2k in tools wide out in the open for just anybody i got owned.

wish ya lived closer I could of done the install for you.. there's is a little bit of finesse and a trick to getting the rear coil spings to sit right so you can just pop them in...and doing the interior is a Pain but once you do it you learn how to do it fast. Sorry for your hatch...that sucks.....claim it on insurance and get a carbon fiber one?

Sorry about your hatch! I'm sure you can find the parts to replace it though.

I had planned on ordering my springs and installing myself, as I dont like others working on my cars. But there were some mishaps at the dealer when they installed my options causing me to take it back 5 times so they could fix THEIR mistakes such as burning my seat with a soldering iron, leaving wiring unhooked behind the dash etc.. Each time I took it back something else happened. Since then they have a new service manager and a few new techs. Since they never even offered an appology the salesperson made me a hard deal to refuse: Springs + Install < $350. And she had a friend of hers in the shop (who mods his own cars) do it for me. So I figure less than $200 labor is worth my time doing it They came out great! Sorry, a long story, but I had to give props to Kelly at Rudy Luther for taking care of customers.

After looking at it further, it appears that if i get the lip spoilr for the rear it will totally conceal all the scratches, so it looks like that might be an option, i just need to see bout getting a new plastic peice and she will be good to go. pics later.

Anyways heres some after pics, springs and my new shift ****.
