i hope not. that would make the gas milage crap no?

 

if this is true, Toyota/Scion are gonna have a lot of used scion xB's on their hands

 

id trade up or id get more horse and swap a gts into mine

 

i dont think the tc will be in every xb...like another rs or special editiion

I got my xB for the gas mileage, not for the speed. Even with the VVti I am usually the fastest car on the freeway.

What Scion is considering is offering an engine option somewhere down the line (read 3-5 years MINIMUM). That way those who want to do theirs up for power have a better place to start and those who want to do theirs up for looks/sound/whatever don't have to pay the money up front for the big motor. Sounds like a decent idea to me and a logical step into making Scion a viable new brand.

It it looks the same as our boxes, I'd go for it. I'd love more power, but I bought mostly based on looks. But I have a feeling when they do this it will be more along the lines of the t2b, of which I am not a big fan.

 

The Concept T2b was supposed to be powered by the tC motor.

You are not usually the fastest car on the freeway. You may speed a lot but just about every car made has more hp than the xb.

 

yeah i'd pay out the ears for a tc motor. or just a 130hp 1zz would be perfect for me. one day a trd s/cd 1zz will be in my box.

if they come out with a bigger motor in a xb i'll sell mine in an instant

 

Which is also a Camry motor.
