Does anyone know what exactly keeps the sunroof cover closed ? For some reason the right side (right above drivers seat) wont stay closed. So it will close but as soon as i take off it pops open. at first it didnt bother me but now it getting on my nerves. If there is a solution to it that i can do myself it would be great. I really dont feel like taking it to the dealer. I tried searching but everything i saw was about shattering sunroof.

 

Do you have a tC with a right hand drive? That is the only way the right side would be above the drivers side.

just take it to the dealer...i know its a pain but the car is under warrenty and if you try to fix it and it breaks then your screwed...that is what a warrenty is for...use it

 

^^ Ditto that guy. If you're too lazy to take it to the dealer to be properly fixed, then it'll probably remain broken for quite some time. Let them fix it.

 

that cover confuses me still, i dont know how it works at all, but since it isnt broken or anything, im not going to bother investigating lol. good luck with your problemo and take it to the dealer.

 

It just sucks taking it to the dealer. I gotta make an appointment. Then they usually have to order parts then there SUPPOSED to call me back but i end up calling them to find out they never ordered it. You know what i mean. I just don't understand why it would be openeing like that. The cars only 4 months old. I was just wondering what exactly holds it closed. That way maybe i can see what the problem is. Maybe its something simple. Maybe ill call them later.

 

i doubt theyll have to order any parts for it, it seems simple enough that they could fix it right there on the spot
