Does anyone know if Scion plans of offering an actual mount for the front license plate? I know most of us dont like them but I would put it on if I had an actual factory style mount. Which cars do you think would have a similar enough front end to have a mount that would fit my tC. I was thinking a camry because is has a pretty flat smooth front end like the tC. I dont like the mount that I've seen on here that attatches to the grill.

template the front bumper with a sheet of paper and check around....jk. i'm ticked that the dealer screwed in their frame at all. i took it off and filled the holes. it can go back on after the first fix it ticket, although i never got one in my previous cars.

I really wish a real mount existed... I was so ____ed when I saw they really did just screw the license plate into the bumper. Stupid NY and front license plate anyways.

I think Toyota does that with all of their cars. My '01 Accord had a mount that you can take off pretty easily if you wanted to.

there isn't an *official* front mount from scion, but eight08customs.com sells a front mount where you don't need to get the holes drilled into your bumper: http://www.eight08customs.com/licenseplatebracket.html

That looks great. I would maybe consider drilling some holes through some small hard foam blocks and using them to secure the top of the plate aganst the bumper. This will keep the plate from rubbing against the bumper on the freeway. Or is this not an issue with this mounting kit?
