Here is my xB
Just had the wheels mounted by my son, a tech for Toyota. Took off 205/40/17's. They were killing my gas milage. With the stock tires and light weight Enkei's, I am back in the 30+ mpg.

I hope the photo shows up, I really don't know what I am doing. If it didn't work which I am sure it didn't, who can tell me how to do this.

Tell me more about the wheel/tires and gas mileage. I was thinking about getting 17" wheels, but wanted to know if it will affect the gas mileage.
Also, how is the ride? Is it rougher with 17" wheels and tires?

I had 205/40/17 AVS copies and BSA wheels. They were great on the road, but my milage dropped by at least 10%. I now have 185/60/15 OEM tires and Enkei RS 5 wheels. They have improved my milage back to original. I am now getting 30+ on the highway and averaging 29 in the city.
The ride with the 17's was also less than comfortable. I also lowered the car by about 1-1.5 inches making the 17's ride hard.
I highly recommend the switch. I will try to post the pic later.

that's really odd, my 17" konig's have had no ill effect on my box's fuel mileage.
i'm currently averaging 34.9 mpg, with the 17's. on my stock 15's i was averaging about 34.5 mpg.
the ride doesnt really seem all that harsh to me, but my butt has a little extra padding.

I had the BSA 220's. When I weighed them with the tires, each came in at 23 to 24 lbs. That meant 92 to 96lbs of unsprung weight. This is wrong-read below!
The wide tires purely in the physics sense took more energy to break the friction. The Enkei RS 5 weigh in at 15 lbs. I think they look pretty good even for 15's. I don't ride hard, but I was amazed at the reduction in mpg's. The car now has a bit more pick up. I'm okay with the 15's, since I'm not a spring chicken (55 ) and performance is not my game, just like the efficiency. I still like the stares I get when I am on the rode as well.
"Major correction to the above numbers. Wheels and tires weighed in at 43 lbs each. that would be 172 lbs of unsprung weight. The drag on the car was more than I cared to carry. " I have reduced the unsprung weight to about 100 lbs now with the new Enkei's.
