Directions from the San Fernando Valley:
Take I-5 north.
Take the 14 freeway north when it splits off.
Exit at Via Princessa and turn left.
Go to T intersection, turn right on Whites Canyon Road.
Go across bridge, turn right on Soledad Canyon Road.
Restaurant will be on your left.

I have no idea! I'll know at about the same time you do :)
The meeting place has a nice parking lot, so there should be plenty of ding-free spaces for any number of Scions. The restaurant is set up to handle big parties as well.

Sure! This is a laid back event and we're pretty much playing it by ear. The only thing "scheduled" is breakfast at 9:00AM because that is when the place opens!

A pretty good turnout for a first event!
David and Jorge came from Silver Lake, Eduardo from Thousand Oaks, David from Cypress and Charlie from Capestrano Beach along with George, Marie, Claire and Tempest from Canyon Country.
We had a great breakfast followed by lots of talk about our xBs.
Emblem removal, detailing, AEM intake interference, luggage racks, and scratch repair were discussed at great length. At such great length in fact, that we decided to do the "cruise" part of the event another time! We finally went out separate ways at about noon!
Pix when I figure out how to put them up!

Thanks for organizing the event! We had a good time :D and felt bad that we could not committed to the canyon cruise, but had prior commitments. I receved lots of ideas and will contemplate what I would do next.

I posted the two additional shots I had of the grille.
Looks like this will become a monthly event. The next breakfast is scheduled for November 9th, at the same time and location.
Whether it will be a cruise remains up in the air. Most attendees didn't want to do the drive, but if the demand is there, I still have the route sheets! :)

Can't wait to meet many of you! I'm going with a buddy of mine, and we're coming from Thousand Oaks,near Ventura. SOunds like this meet is going to be a lot bigger than the first one that i went to. Meet you all there!
Despite a rather threatening sky, we had a nice turnout of 8 xBs (still no xAs!) and about 16 people. The Route 66 waitress who served us (and put up with us!) even had an xB of her own!
We got a good look at a Worldcruise cruise control installation and a couple of great Ultimate Audio stereo installs. Check out the pics at the bottom of page 1 and page 2 of the thumbnails! One of the photos shows a very nice color-matched custom fiberglass housing that was finished the night before the meet!
Lots of nice wheels and tires. I'm feeling like a piker with my stock 15s!
We discussed solutions to the AEM intake and fog light interference problem. Seems as if a spacer between the lower mount and the car might cure the problem. Another problem was seen where the intake seems to come into contact with the air bag sensor bracket when the engine rocks back. This is a potentially serious problem, as you _really_ don't want to screw up the air bag sensor!
Next month's event is scheduled for December 14th. Mark your calenders!

You could get to the 405 N and take it until it merges with the 5 north, then follow the directions at the top. Traffic on the 405 shouldn't be a problem sunday mornings.

The December Scion Breakfast didn't have a huge crowd, but seven hardy souls braved the threatening weather and congregated at Route 66, along with four xBs!
The guys from Frontier Toyota brought, along with their flamed demo car. If you like wild paint, this car is for you!

If the interest is there, we'll do the cruise!
With the antenna, did you make sure that both sides were hooked up? I've heard rumors that this might be the problem. Also, are you running an aftermarket radio? If so, another rumor said that the antenna had to have power supplied to it as it is amplified.
I haven't verified either of these rumors, so take them with a grain of salt!

Don't be embarrassed by not having mods! I've been going to the Canyon meet for nearly a year with a stock xB. The point is to get together, have a good meal, talk a little about Scions, and have a good time!

I decided that taking the vinyl off of a white xB would be a lot of work for no improvement. It needs the contrast!
Finished my salt flat discs :), but one fell off yesterday :( so I had to take the dents out and repaint it. Still need to do some experimentation to get them right.
Hey guys it was cool meeting some of you. I felt a little out of place but its ok it was my first time meeting you peeps. I hope that next time we mmet I can have a little more interation with the crew. Well I am also looking forward to invading Porter Ranch on thursday nights. I want to know when the next big event is so that I may make it and show you guys my car. From the looks of things im hearing that everything is going well. My car should be ready by next tuesday. I want to know if there is a scion club out there that wants to pick me up as a member. I used to live in San Fernando Valley but I moved to Ventura County I still drive back to North Hollywood though and I am up here in ventura as well. If anyone knows of a club near me or if the valencia folks want to pick me up AWESOME. Gimme some feed back guys pe@ce.

Sorry I won't be at this months Breakfast meeting, however I will be at the LOVE RIDE in Castaic. It's is the largest one day Charity bike ride that I do. So right now I am raising donations for the ride. I have this last week to get what ever I can.
This will be the first time in about 3 weeks I've had the Harley out of the garage.
Damn I hope it doesn't rain like it did 2 years ago.
Oh well..... I'll take a look at the pics, and wish you all a safe trip there, and home.

Despite a rather threatening sky, we had a nice turnout of 8 xBs (still no xAs!) and about 16 people. The Route 66 waitress who served us (and put up with us!) even had an xB of her own!

Jtosh there was like a half a dozen Xa's there. My wifes Xa was in the front with two other Xa's. and of course the three in the back including the rs1.0.
There was also two in the middle. one with the tricked out bodykit and another blue one with rims.

Well, a wet but happy crew breakfasted today! 9 cars and about 20 people braved the rain (1.7 inches so far today) to have breakfast together. Luckily the snow turned to rain at Frasier Park, so our FP folks could dig out and come down to the warmer climes. They had great photos showing their xB with snow up to the side mirrors. Brrrrr!
I only took one photo, and it was pretty grungy, so I'll pass on posting it.
Hoping for sunnier weather on the 13th of February!

Well, I had a committment that morning and came by a bit after 10:00 to find nobody there. From the posts and PMs, it seems as though at least four of us were there, each for their own brief period, between 9 and 10AM. It's probable that others were there too, but also "didn't see anyone" and moved on.
If people show up and then immediately leave if nobody else is there, the event won't happen. I've showed up at 9:00AM sharp for over a year to provide that "anchor," and the event has grown every month. For the last two months I haven't been able to be there on time and things have dwindled.
Perhaps someone else (Jason? Orataro? Grandpajoe?) should take on the role of "anchor" when I cannot show up at 9 sharp? I hate to see the Breakfast go, but sometimes Real Life interferes with my attendence!

Here's the way it is folks:
If everyone simply drives by and doesn't stop because nobody else is there, there will never be anyone else there! Somebody will just have to screw up the courage to be the (gad) first one to park in the parking lot!
In the past this "somebody" has been me, and we've had some great get-togethers. We started in 2003 with only a few cars (there _were_ only a few scions then!) and increased every month until we had 20+ cars and 30+ people in attendence.
The last couple of month, I haven't been able to get there on time and attendence has dwindled. My ego isn't so large as to think that it was my charisma alone that was holding this event together. Rather, I just acted as an initiator and the event gelled on its own.
The bad news is that I won't be able to make it in July. Someone else will have to do the "initiator" thing in my place. Make a (shudder) committment to show up and let folks know about it!
It's up to you! I hope that everyone gets together and has a great time!

A change of venue has also been discussed. Hard to find a place that will absorb a number of folks at that time, though.
