sorry if this is a repost. the seats on the tC are said to have memory, which implies that they are power. yet in the pics of the driver seat, i see the regular dials and levers. so which is it?

both are true, the seat memory is mechanical.

Driver's Seat One-Touch Walk-In w/ Track and Seat Angle Memory...this is what is written in the tC standard feature section of scion.com.

I cant say for certain that they arent power, but I dont think so... we'll just all have to wait a little longer to find out!!

how will a mechanical seat memory exatcly work here? also, is there any chance of there a power driver's seat being available for the scion tc?

No, there's very little chance of that happening. Why would you want it? Adds cost and weight for very little to no benefit.

The mechanical seat memory will work when you hit the lever to flip the seat forward to throw something in the back seat, or let someone in or out. The seat will recline back to the position that you had it at the time you flipped it forward. It works like the passenger side of the Toyota Celica and Solara.

thanks for the answer reno.... as for the power seats, im taking a look at this car more as a cruiser, something decent sized (specs so far seem good for interior room), and decent engine. Im not looking at all to mod this thing like crazy. That and I always found power seats so much more convient than a standard manual seat, was hoping there'd be a option, but oh well.
