Thanks all. Scary part was putting them in the oven so I could pop the lens off. Wasn't sure how that was going to turn out.

you wopuldnt have to put them in the oven. the lens is on tabs. you can pry off the tabs nicely if your patient

Yeah, they don't need to go in the oven. Evildave helped me w/ my lights and used a pair of standard tip screwdrivers.

What temperature and how long?
Do you have to preheat for tail lights? :rofl: weird asking that...

I used the info from the tech area, 250 for 5 minutes. Actually 3-4 is enough.
Oven preheat for 5min 21sec <-Seriously my oven did it.
Now that I am not scared of doing it and understand how the entire process works, I'd do the paint differnetly. Maybe tape off and area for orange turn signal, but I really don't have the patients for this type of work. Being a neat freak always gets to me needing it to be perfect.
Shoulda heard me cursing when I painted my calipers. Then I gave up and said screw it, I'm done.

your tails look good. i gotta give this a try when i find some smoke paint around here.
